so it can produce generic and boring looking characters?
I don't think I'd read a doujin with that sort of art

I hope in the next decade AI disenfranchises artists and they'll be forced to stuck up pretentious condescending cunts in some other profession

You just described every character design in this day and age manga and doujinshi. And even worst, it's isekai anime everyday in Japan right now, I bet the Japanese used a machine learning program to predict the most profitable anime to make and they decided to pump isekai shit because the AI told them to.

The bad ones probably, the good ones will just learn to work with it, or learn how to use it to push them self's. Going to be weird when corporations start to use it and have to put the "made by AI label on it".

You can just hire ten cheap chinese labour from china to draw anime with AI in the future, good artist will go extinct and become some expensive antique hire for some underground anime festival.

i don't and can't enjoy work if there isn't a person behind it that put passion in their work, i would much prefer a expressive jaggy ms paint oekaki ammature drawing over some muddy ai picture that doesn't feel alive, so i don't understand how some can like this sort of stuff

I think most of it is just the curiosity of it. Like, we've gotten to a point where code can make pictures where anime-styled faces aren't just stretched out sloshes of paint onto a canvas or Moetron-esque. There was even one I saw on twitter a couple weeks ago where an artist I follow did some experiments with re-drawing scenic drawings an AI made; if anything that'll be the most that comes of it is just an inspiration for something actually handmade.
But I genuinely don't believe there'll ever be a market for it, because pretty much all of these things explicitly say "we'll sue you if you use our program for profit without namedropping and paying us" meaning that it's impossible to market both as a """"creator""""" trying to make a buck and a consumer who'll see it as nothing worth paying for.
