Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese-developed text porn games.
They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with most era games.

Run anchor.exe, japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there are guides currently in the TW folder (in #Translation) on what to do, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:

You can also report bugs or typos here on the thread when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

Some progress on adding the new 2hus to EratohoK, I managed to get the base things done, figure out what defines what, still trying to figure out what the fuck is the purpose of the TSV past defining secondary details, it seems to have little purpose past defining clothing or certain details like skills you can purchase, throwing most of the shit in the CSV file instead seems to do the job.

Pretty sure it stopped development as well, and the interface is a bit difficult to manage sometimes, like when exploring. Also a lot of the bad (rape) events are tied to if you're alone (no party members with you), and if during exploration you run into certain 'compromising' situations (e.g. someone saw you naked washing at a river), the option to try fighting your way out of the situation most of the time isn't completed yet and so your only option is to get raped. Also in any situation where you get raped while in a party, everyone else in the party also gets raped.

Looking at the JP uploads, it looks like era_inSchool and eraRL are being actively developed. Are they seeing a lot of uploads because they are fairly new projects?

The MC or 'pure summoner' characters? I suppose Devil Summoners can as you say get really good at shooting (though you can try a melee build as well but it'll be subpar compared to a gun build). You want Int as a gun user, so it helps you in demon negotiations to the point where you pretty much can never fail any conversation unless you deliberately choose the choices that make you fail. Otherwise they have a COMP, so you get to use software, and everyone that has at least 1 level in Summoner can use HI-DAS for quicker analysis. Having Summoner Level 5 means that you only need 2 more levels of Summoner from party members to achieve 60% Harmonizer boost, which can make human characters amazing (when compared to demons). They also tend to come with Item Knowledge Level 3, so you can use all items. Most if not all pure summoners has the Successor talent as well, allowing you to use Magic Weapons (if you ever use it at all, I don't). And lastly, since they have 0 MP, you can load them up with passive skills without needing to balance them with MP-using skills.

Essentially they can be built like a supporter or a gunner depending on the skills you get for them, though they don't get access to Double-Tap. But access to elemental bullets alone is a huge boost to cover the more rarer elements like Water, Earth, Gravity and Nuclear. Via the Skill Boxes or demon skill card extraction, you can give yourself skills like Pierce. Also only if you start as a Devil Summoner, since you have no skills to start with, you get skills for free when you make x (5?) of certain categories of demons have a Fall state to you. This one is from having enough demons of the Hero category fall for you, which is really easy to get if you play with Extras on and start summoning non-witch meguca characters as they all come under the Hero category. Any other start do not get free skills for making demons Fall for them.

For actual software installation, I'm pretty sure it requires someone in the party to have at least Summoner Lv3 if it actually states that as a requirement. For Harmonizer though, it uses total of Summoner levels for its boost, and you need a total of 7 Summoner levels to get the 60% Full Boost. If you start with Summoner Lv1 (or no Summoner at all), you'd require multiple hybrid Summoners or a pure Summoner in your party anyway to make use of it. Also having no Summoners in your party means no software or being able to even see what your enemies are, so you'd end up needing to depend on the human characters you get from the start to cover for you.

Auto-skills do not require MP to use, so yes, it will activate. Auto-skills are actually something you can get from making x amount of certain demon categories fall for you for free as well, so it's totally intended that you should be loading up pure summoners with skills like that.

No, it's specific only to the MC if the MC starts as a Devil Summoner. No other summoners in your roster gets the skills either when you meet the criteria.
