Rice prices have risen 70% since last year. Wheat is in very short supply and expensive and Corn is going through the roof too. A 70% increase in the price of rice in India or Bangladesh means people going without eating ion those countries. The only Asian countries that don't have shortages are Japan, Thailand, Viet Nam and, China. Viet Nam has stopped exporting rice as has China, Japan imports small amounts.
