Well, I guess that's enough for me. It got a bit repetitive after a while and your moves didn't change one of a bit. Watching you doing the same moves against the same approaches over and over was a bit boring. Against Tenshi I couldn't do much since I have nearly no experience against her. I'm not used to players like you, but it was a good training.

Time to tune my WORST DECK EVER, there are useless cards there

>> No.4096068

>>4096050
High block, then low block when Tenshi comes in with her Dial-A. That way you're properly block both hits, and if it tries to do 2B to you, it'll barely clip your guard, thus dropping his string and relieving you of most of the pressure. If he doesn't 2B, then you can either continue low-blocking in case a 623B is coming, or you can high block the final hit of the Dial-A; either way he loses most of his pressure. Don't block so many of her j.2B, j.6B, and 6B bullets, that's just begging to have your orbs crushed and then have anywhere from 1.5k to 2k life taken away.

Combos get repetitive because there's absolutely no point to improvise in SWR. Every char has very few combos that are actually worth using damage-wise off the most common counterhits/dial-5a's.

Good games, Harlaown. It seemed like you were doing better when you were controlling space more with your 5C and your B bullets. The CH 66Cs and 3As are deadly, but try not to rely on them too much (though you did slaughter my Reimu that one time with them)! Errr, well, I don't really have too much to give you. You had the right idea against my Tenshi, since you were proper-blocking my dial-A setup and then 66Cing when I went to 2B you, so that was good, but at the same time you were blocking my 6B and j.6B bullets far too often. Almost every time you did that I managed to either get a crush, force you to BE, or landed a combo. If you think the 6B/j.6B is a trap to get you to graze forward, then just high jump away from them and get some more room with j.5C or something.

Only problem I remember you having with Reimu was that you would try to graze out halfway through my string, causing you to eat a j.6A. Other than that, the only thing I can say is work on being a bit less predictable with your 66Cs and 3As, and maybe try to bait me into 623C at times. I wasn't feeling all that much pressure in the corner.

Wow, great games Mungay, I don't know for how long we've been playing, but it was for a very long time, definitely my longest session ever.

I still need a lot of practice because I still make tons of stupid mistakes. Proof is that you made a lot of perfect rounds, including that last one, where I couldn't land a single hit and where I ran into every single bullet I saw. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not retarded. But even if I was a better player, I'm sure you'd still be too tough for me, you play really aggressively without forgetting to defend, I saw myself running from the left corner to the right corner five times in a row to avoid your unremitting attack. When you gain momentum it's nearly impossible for me to win. The few rounds I won were thanks to the spellcards.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun and I learned a lot, thank you very much for bearing with my predictable Suika, I try to change my gameplay sometimes but I'm just bad at it. Hope to play against you some other time!

That's enough for now. Nicely played, Rabbit; Suika is a really shitty match-up for Meiling and it makes me want to cry. Of course, Youmu isn't much of a match up either (both of them are an 8:2/7:3, I believe). This, compounded by my various and numerous mistakes were enough to give me a level of apparent frustration that not even Kircheis himself would fucking question. I hope you don't mind if I just stand right in your Emerald Cities and Youmu DPs all the time; I just love playing with a completely unnecessary mental handicap! Ah, my apologies if I overplayed certain characters. I wanted to see how I stack up to you after not having played you for a long time. As for Youmu's dragon punch, I only use it in two situations -- if the person is standing over me, and after guardcrush/pillar to punish punishers. It's pretty crappy against projectile fields and I can't do it on wakeup if there are bullets to contend with.

>>4099792
Haha, people say I'm run and gun with Patchy but really I'm trying to avoid being punished while flooding the space, honest. I have the habit of shooting something while on the ground, jump canceling, then follow up with aerial bullets. It's also ingrained for me to dash under the other character if they're flying high enough. It's the same with Youmu but with her I go back into melee while with Patchy I try to flood.

Goddammit Rabbit, stop apologizing! The problem isn't with you, it's ever-so-clearly with me! If I can't block "hurrdurr 5AAA -> 3A -> 6[A]" then I deserve to lose every match. You pegged with me with God alone knows how many times; I would have to be using the most twisted logic ever to try and blame my performance on you. Also, you just completely stopped doing naked jump-ins! How am I supposed to peg you with random CH Sky Dragon Kicks if you're not doing completely naked jump-ins?! You're throwing off my flowchart, Rabbit. ;_;

Your Patchy had some surprisingly decent combos, too. I was getting wary of just grazing all the time, my health was taking quite a hit; also, you stayed high enough in the air that the only graze attack Meiling has would whiff you entirely. Also, with the j.2A I make a habit of flying directly upwards for a moment to turn Youmu around before using j.2A; these are a few nuances you might notice when watching replays.

Don't really know what I can tell you, you actually have a better control over Reimu than I do (you have no clue how difficult I find it to AAA5B hjc. j6A2A5C 66 jA as consistent as you). If anything, you don't 2A enough for added pressure, even though you do get the GCs or force BEs pretty well as is. Adding 2A6A to the beginning of your current string will just get you there faster, plus you're pretty good at IAD j6As, so the break is imminent. Well, against me anyway, if that means anything to you...

Really, I don't consider the spacing on the 214Bs as much as I do the either/or gambit when you're in or headed to the corner: Either I stick you and figure how to follow it up (air juggle, or 5C to stick in place to proceed to air combo), or I trap you behind and figure the best way to advance. 214C becomes useless unless you 100% KNOW the opponent is prone to back airtech right into it (214Cs are only useful in air, on the ground they quickly become a liability unless the opponent doesn't block on wake up).

Anyways, good games, Sator--er, Duckator. Do you have some sort of detector by your computer that starts flashing whenever I'm going to jump out of your pressure? Cause it sure does seem that way at times. Hell, I even stutter stepped in the corner, just baiting that 3A, and you're like, "hahaha, nope, jump first Guy" so I go ahead and jump and eat your goddamn 3A combo.

I'd say I was about 50% successful, though. ;_; Oh man, and when you did Sakuya's World just as the hitbox of my attack was connecting with you...goddamn, so many things happened in these matches.

Any suggestions for my Reimu? I just started working on her last night and today.

Man, that air kick is really brutal. Every time I tried to punish it I'd end up taking 2000+ damage from you. The worst part is I fell for that same trick every singe time. Also, it looks like perfect maid works on some spellcards after all.

Japanese Tenco Glicko ladder for Hisouten Soku.
It changes daily. But here is a snapshot from today.
The average rating of the top ten users per character was averaged.
The tiers chart you posted was based on win % from a long time ago. It shows ease of use better than anything.
This chart isn't definitive in any way either, but it should give you an idea how the very best players of Japan (who participate in the ladder) are performing with each character.

In all honesty, I would've expected Suika and Reimu to be a bit higher on the listing. Suika for obvious reasons, but Reimu is a really solid character with no real weakness, strong aerial capability, damaging combos, and skills with good utility. She's quite solid in this iteration. Excluding maybe Youmu and Tenshi, it seems like the top-rated character area is filled with characters that I am poor with, oddly enough.

Maybe someday I'll get good enough that my Meiling becomes top-tier. ;_;

True, but at least if you can do well against that AI, it's usually indicative that you at least won't do half-bad online. I interpreted his question as asking for some way to measure how well he'd do online, so I figured that facing the AI would at least help in a little way. Of course there's no real substitute for hopping in an online match or two.

Was rather saddening to lose both the Iku vs. Cirno and Cirno vs. Iku matches though. Best moment had to be when you had me in the corner blocking Reimu's 4 card pillar and the whether switches to Typhoon halfway through, giving you the KO. If you planned that, mad props. Sorry for sticking with Youmu at the end, I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to practise using Youmu's 623 since you usually attacked from the air. Anyway, that was a pretty long session, and enough SWR for me today. Now my wrists hurt.
