Don't get me wrong, I am absoluter hater of Aki Eda but... You know, sometimes a background just takes emphasis or feeling, and does more harm than good. Why is this constantly cited by people as the mark of a good artist?

The problem with Aki Eda is that not enough shooter shout-outs were present in the manga.

If I were given control, I'd show the Lunar Capital as a mash-up of all sorts of shit from shmup games.

Heck, even the Einhander "one-handed vulcan cannon" reference in PMiSS.
