The whole white cab thing with Chris is entirely konami's fault. They're the one's that made this a problem from the get go from not letting anyone besides dave and busters and round one buy cabs in the US, ddr's biggest market mind you, which alone fucks over smaller local arcades forcing them to pirate their games (ddr a can be ran on older machines as it supports 3:4 mode surprisingly) or illegally import Japanese cabs and that's not even talking about e-amusement service, which you'll only be able to get if you either use a sketchy VPN service or use a reverse engineered custom e-amusement server that won't connect to the official one that actually matters.

Well, I tried running IIDX 28 through Wine, Installed a fuckton of codecs, libraries and whatnot. When using ASIO4All as the audio backend, ASIO just stops working and nothing happens. When I use WineASIO, IIDX straight up denies it. When i use default Audio Backend, the game does indeed boot and the game's window appears, but it crashes 10-15 seconds later. When i added bm2dx.dll to the -exec option, like some guy on emuline said, That tells me that libavs-win64.dll doesn't exist. I found an archive of an older thread on /jp/ that says that might not have apf-ea3.dll or apf-core.dll in the modules folder. I don't have apf-ea3, some guy posts a screenshot of what i presume, where you could get the library from, also posts a link to bemani.guide. bemani.guide is dead and the screenshot too.
So, do you have some kind of a special setup for your VM?

I have two theories. I used to play out in the wood shed, and I got used to the uneven floor where I'd put my DDR pad, so I naturally got used to applying more force with my right foot. Then I moved to a more usual location, and was driving too hard with my right foot, which I guess mashed my knee. It never got really really bad because I would stop playing when I started to feel the pain come on. I did some knee strengthening stuff in interim like walking uphill backwards (it sounds stupid but it works).
The other theory is that my right leg is simply longer, but I seem to have adjusted to it either way.
I didn't have to see a doctor or anything, but I could tell the pain was growing and growing the more I played. And if I ignored it and played back to back days, it would get worse. So I looked up some stuff and found the knees-over-toes guy, some good stuff on that channel.

My tips are basically this: don't stomp too hard (at least not as a matter of course--do it if it'll get you that 19 clear or PFC or whatever you're aiming for, but don't do it for every song). Try to drive less with your heel, or at least not as hard. If you strike the pad with your toes instead of your heels, it's easier on the knees. I tend to play flat footed, so it's just something I need to stay conscious of while playing. Finally, if you feel the pain creeping in, just give it a rest and re-evaluate your form. Too many people are willing to "push through" the pain and end up injuring themselves. If it gets really really bad (it shouldn't), at that point I'd see a doctor. Hope this helps.

Any recommendations on fun DDR doubles charts to check out? I do 15s on singles, and 10s on doubles, but they dont feel particularly satisfying or fun to execute. Looking for something easy so that I can learn the layout of the pads, but still fun to execute and practice. Night of Nights was pretty fun, albeit simple. Burnin the floor also wasn't bad considering it's age.
