OP, you could try just downloading the songs you find on youtube. Make use of this website to convert youtube files to mp3. There's other, similar websites that can convert it to other formats if you want, but I use iTunes so you can either use this or consult google

For Touhou, you want the original game music? What you need is a nifty program called THxxBGM. Download the 2.00 version from here:

It's in Japanese. Make sure your locale's set up properly. First it'll ask you for where the games are. In order, they are:
- Embodiment of Scarlet Devil
- Perfect Cherry Blossom
- Immaterial and Missing Power
- Imperishable Night
- Phantasmagoria of Flower View
- Shoot the Bullet
- Mountain of Faith
- (I don't know what this is. Leave it blank.)
- Scarlet Weather Rhapsody
- Subterranean Animism
- Undefined Fantastic Object
- Hisoutensoku

Plug the appropriate paths in. The interface itself is a music player. To get it to rip, click the ... button, look for an entry "wave (runes)" and click it. From here, go to the Game menu, click the first menu item, should be "Add All". Under the third menu, go to the submenu and select how the files should be named. Finally, under the first menu, select the first menu item. Specify a folder, and click the top button. Wait for a bit.

WAV isn't a useful format for general use. You'll want to convert them to MP3. Use BonkEnc for that, it's free software.

That's the basics. You can also make tracks loop x times, and have fade-out and so on via THxxBGM but I'm not detailing it.

Note: For IaMP/SWR/Hisoutensoku, official OSTs exist, so use them instead if you want. Likewise, for the PC-98 games.
