Same. She does it at 2P too so it's not like it's inaccessible.
Kannagi has some random breaks at 3P in her attacks that I never really noticed. SC1 hits paralyze, SC2 breaks freeze, and LW breaks poison.

Outside of that there are a number of 100% stat boosts hidden in some character's bullets lines that I never noticed before the update

The spread shot buffs are notable because you more or less get back the 2P you spend so you can use them to extend buff durations instead of using a spellcard to do it.

I wish that characters weren’t stuck at mlb once you’ve done it. Pic rel will cost me around 8000 spirit points extra all said and done. These days I rarely awaken anyone, which sucks because it’s more fun to max out a character but if you need to farm with them you get punished.

Sun/Moon/Star always feels relevant because the standard L1 weakness/resistance is normally one of those three along with one of any of the other 5 elements. A lineup like that is basically guaranteed to break at least one enemy's barrier.

SFES Junko is the swiss army knife for challenge quests. You send her to break barriers and she does just that along a couple buffs and enemy debuffs.

If your squad is not set to deal with challenge quests, then she does very little.

She's been super helpful, always use her in new challenging battles because she can break anything and isn't resisted by anything. Even if you have units for every element she's still very much good to bring along, helps that she can lower the opponents defense and increase your allies stats too. So overall I would say she's definitely worth it if you have enough cubies to throw around.

She's incredibly unique, which makes her useful. She has a very wide array of story card farms, BUT she's often pretty slow at it compared to others. Though this can be good if you want to overnight a stage and not take her down to purple heart.

Where she really shines is in challenge content. Her anomaly immunity, universal breaking, and insane damage cap her into a kind of a master key. That said, this all comes with an asterisk in that she does much better with support. By herself she's mostly a single target breaker, but with poison and/or burn support she can break the entire team. Same story with her damage. By herself she's good but if you buff her crit she becomes one of the most potent AoE attackers in the game. Better than Bluemu, even. In sum she has a ton of potential but she requires help/a brain to use it. Up to you if this sounds good or not.

Her wood breaks are actually ridiculous. And metal as a secondary element is really good too. Wood element has a problem in where a lot of the wood attackers are older units with either shitty damage, shitty breaks, or both. So Takane is very welcome. Though her own damage is hampered by her all-missile LW, it's still better than someone like base Aya.

Bluemu is by far the best user, but UFO Byakuren is also really good. That may be it. Sakuyavania and Aunn are yang so it doesn't work for them. There may be another random spellcard out there that's some mixture of yin/sun/light bullet, but Bluemu and UFO Byakuren are the main users.

I took a look around and it really is just Bluemu and UFO Byakuren that get maximum benefit from the card. That said, -2 yin def to All is a really good effect so it could be used on yin attack types even if they don't have sun or light bullet. IIRC defense buffs are similar to attack buffs in that they come with diminishing returns. -2 yin def alone is a 60% dmg buff, but it'll be less if there's already some yin def debuffing present.

awakening it's not the only problem with those Whale Ex events:
You may have the right unit with correct yin or yang elements but with the wrong bullet type

You may have the right unit with the correct bullet type but with yang instead of yin and vice versa

You may have the right unit with everything in place but its breaks do fucking suck

You may have the perfect unit but you need a fucking UFES to make it bearable

Then, you take a look on the UFES and not only they have the right bullets needed for EX events, they also have enough breaks and situational yin or yang needs.
Also you need at least 4 single Moriya Anniversary cards to make it more doable otherwise you will run out of grazes during T2

So you need Moriya card, they gave it for free, but if you started late like me, good fucking luck, you have to farm Water Ex for it and it requires FES and UFES units otherwise you are sol

Honestly, I wouldn’t even care if these EX events were ungodly hard, it’s that they’re usually tailored to the latest SFES unit they want you to whale on, and the only way to beat it with regular/FES units is to have setups so intricate and SP-draining that you’ll be unable to farm it. Of course, it’s a genius move on their end, but if you want one of the better cards, you’re out of luck. Weren’t some of the cards (Worlds in Hand?) released in the general gacha pool in JP, anyway?

Anomaly breaking can be weird. Order matters a lot. If 3 anomalies are on the foremost barriers and they all get hit by effective elements before the anomaly break then it'll do jack shit. On paper this would make attacks with the anomaly break at the end pretty shit, but in practice bullet line #6 aren't necessarily the last bullets to hit the target. I recently got my first Last Word move unlocked
I really like how, now, I have to babysit that character because using Full Auto will have them just use their Last Word right away on a 1 Wave battle and there's no way to customize the AI for that and now I can't solo that same battle anymore

Oh? Well that's interesting. I did some quick testing and you're right. Kannagi's SC1 para break hits nearly immediately in spite of it being on line 5. Same story with her SC2 ice break on line 6.
However, her line 6 poison break on her LW very clearly hits last. B2 Junko's LW is the same with her anomaly breaks hitting in order as you would expect.

This would explain it. Yorihime's SC1 has 16 bullets on P0. Lines 2-5 have a combined 18, so her break overflows. Same thing with her SC2, which has only 14 bullets on P0. But her LW has 20 bullets at P0 and lines 2-6 combined have 20, so there's no overflow. Loli Junko's last word has the same layout so it also doesn't overflow.

I tried emulating that.
I don't have Iku so I tried replicating her with Yachie and sadly simply no dice.
The agility difference between 5* Flan and 1* Yachie is simply too large so I can't make Yachie use her LW first meaning I have to wait until the next turn to use Flan's LW which extends the battle and burns barriers.
Also I think that 1 extra turn may have had one of the marisas use the defense up skill because after Flan's LW I am like 60-80k damage behind which makes it so I can't get to the final healthbar before having to switch out to the backline.
Maybe ascensions will fix this issue, but I doubt it.

Necessary? No. But her power makes her an easy solution to any Lunatic node. Usually to 5sp farm you need a unit that can full break an enemy without using all of their spell cards. That can be tough since a lot of general pool units don't have elements on their basic shots, and you probably don't want to keep FES units at 5sp. So you need a wide array of 5sp characters to handle different sets of weaknesses, especially if you're trying to farm a stage with more than one enemy. But with bluemu, you can use her for any stage and win.

Take that with a grain of salt though, since I don't have her. Maybe she isn't that strong. But I've been using 5sp Otohime to grind this event, so if bluemu is stronger then she'd have an even easier time.

Not sure about new player rewards. I think they recently made it more generous? Gacha is more generous than FEH but not quite as generous as AL, where you were expected to get literally every unit. In LW you can expect to get most of the cast, but you won't get all the higher class units. Not that you need to; if you're a meta player you can just aim for the best ones easy enough.

Even end-game content inevitably ends up with clears featuring general-pool units. But if you want to farm efficiently/have an easier time you'll need more modern units. There are some characters that are just total trash, but they've recently implemented a way to make them stronger. A particularly garbage character, Sanae, was given the highest potential damage in the whole game out of nowhere, lol. She's still awful outside of that though.

Powercreep is a bit odd. You see, there are different "classes" of unit. General pool - Festival(limited) - Super Festival (limited and more expensive to spark) - Relic(?) Festival (same) - Epic Festival (no spark). The latter two were added very recently. Powercreep within each class is pretty stable at the moment, but the 2 characters that are Relic and Epic (1 of each thusfar) are noticeably stronger than everyone else. They're outliers. Kinda lame but so far they're not necessary to clear or farm anything (game is PvE only btw). Your roster will end up being a bunch of General and Festival characters with a good handful of Super Festival ones and a small amount of the two strongest types that you'll use to shit on stuff. Festival and Super Festival power can overlap a bit; some newer FES characters are stronger than older SFES.

The problem is that these MV characters are so new that we don't really know how this shit is gonna work. Don't know how often they're going to be implemented or how many free dolls they're going to hand out, so it's hard to make a recommendation.

If you're a big Remi fan and have the cubes to spark, then sure go for it. But if you just roll for meta you run the risk of missing out on a stronger relic coming out and not having the cubes/dolls for them. Conversely, it may turn out that Remi will be the strongest one for a long while. We don't know.

She's actually one of the better L1 characters. Her gimmick is that she lowers enemy yang defense by a lot. Her skill gives -3 to All, her LW gives -2 to all, and her solo spellcard gives -2 to target. Downside is that the skill and LW only last for 1 turn, but you can easily combine them with the story card "Physician Assistants" to extend it. With a turn of setup and that card on her solo spellcard you can lower everyone's yang def by 7 and a target's by 9.

She doesn't do much outside of that, but it's a good niche. After rebirth her damage becomes quite potent. Pic related. She's doing more than double Tenshi's damage here, and vs slayers ~3.5x as much. And there's a lot of room for growth, too. Her best card is "The Heat of My Fingertips", not what they have listed, and she pretty shit at raising her own Yang Atk. So get her that card and support her atk and her dmg will be even higher.

I don't think that her rebirth is out on global, though. And know that her P generation is total shit, so she'll either need support there or a dedicated turn to using WoSD.

Probably not. She's more of a hard content character. I've seen her in a few EX clears, but someone else would have to tell you how common/useful she is there. Up to you if she sounds good or not, there are a lot of good options this time around.

Maybe I'm biased because of weekly arena's recent addition to global, but it seems designed for arena. 1/3rd of 6 is exactly the +2 buff that most units need for perfect accuracy.

Both. School gives exp and also increases motivation, which lets you grind longer.
Right now, story maps (not event maps) have x3 exp, so you should farm a boss to get story cards for tokens if you can. The most reasonable options are Yukaru or the three rabbits at the start of Hifuu, since future bosses are too tough for solo grinding.

With a GC roll you have a 1/10 chance of getting the banner character and it effectively saves you 50 blue cubes. Imo not worth unless you're short on blue cubes and are using the GC roll to fill the gap.
Also note that every 60gc roll gives you +10 fortune dust towards important dolls. If you take the 600gc roll over 10 60gc rolls you're missing out on 90 dust. But it's up to you and whether or not you want to gamble rn.

She sucks ass in a farming role, but is actually legit in hard content. Mainly because she has Cake's All anomaly autobreak, but burn instead of poison. Being able to knock off 3 barriers to everyone no questions asked is always good. She also has a 2x poison autobreak in her other spellcard. Other good things include 1.75P up and a really high damage cap for a FES friend.

She's rated lower on that google doc tier list because she has a lot of downsides, too. Her accuracy skill is a total meme so she can't get her accuracy to 100%, her elements are all over the place, her self-buffs are mediocre,she raises team yang atk for some fucking reason even though she's overwhelmingly yin, and she has an odd niche focus in buffing team crit accuracy.
But she's a anomaly breaking fiend and hits hard with a team supporting her, so it works out overall.

Nue is pretty strong. Her gimmick is that she's immune to Burn, Freeze and Darkness and when she's hit with those things she gets P in return. By herself she has really good P generation and when she's being hit by those anomalies it's even better. Also her solo target spellcard hits extremely hard if you use it right.
