Let's try this again, since it's late at night and I failed at spoiler tagging.

God, Erika does piss me off.

Anyway, I have a couple of questions about episode 5. I'm not completely finished, but I'm at the end of the trial. My question is, why did no one bring up Rosa? This bothered me the entire time, since Rosa did not leave to go the the guesthouse until 1am, yet Erika's entire story is set up so that the murder must happen between 12 and 1. If the murderer killed Rosa and then was not able to leave, then they too would be stuck in that room. So it still could not be Natsuhi, who was in her room the next morning . Is there something I'm missing, something to explain why this didn't come up?

Also, to the guy who commented on the picture: I never noticed the hand in the lower right corner with the blood pooled around it until now.

I'd finish the ???? before you start analyzing that twilight. The ???? brings adds a bunch more red and gold.

Holy shit!
Can't believe i missed the hand.

We saw that stuff the first day the portrait was released, man. Where were you?

>> No.4043358

That always bugged me as well, both Rosa and that hand.

Well, I realized that there is probably more that will be said about it all. I was just wondering why something so obvious wasn't brought up when it could've helped. Battler really blew it.

Better question if the witches ad the power to bring every body back from he dead what stops them from just asking the victims to point out the killer?

In all honesty while we have the luxury of sitting down in our quiet rooms and thinking it through Battler is being hounded by DIE THE DEATH THE GREAT EQUALIZER etc and witches and whores to think straight.

Imagine debating but with laser swords and if you lose the debate you and everyone you loved die.

It was declared in red (by Dlanor, I think) that all deaths were homicides. Even if Rosa did kill the cousins, someone still had to kill her. Erika "proved" that Battler couldn't have done it, so it still had to be Natsuhi anyways.

>> No.4043526

>>4043458
Still, the fact is that she arrived at or after 1am. Erika was already in the lounge. There was no way the culprit could leave, if Erika's seals were as airtight as she has said.

>> No.4043545

>>4043526
Well, I guess there is the fact that there could be empty rooms. Erika probably only sealed the rooms in which she knew people were in.

>> No.4043551

damn, i was just reading the trial right now and i had just thought about that possibility.

>> No.4043557

That's why we have this theory:

Up until 7:00, everyone is alive and sleeping in their beds. Battler is sleeping, and Erika is being creepy. Battler wakes up and screams. Erika rushes out to check all of her seals. In this time, Battler goes all hatstand-spear or whatever on the cousins and Rosa while Erika is distracted. Thus, we have the first twilight (minus Kraus).

>>4043458
Only problem with this is that, it was heavily implied Natsuhi was not the culprit.

Also did anyone else get some chills when they found out Erika was listening in on Battlers room for the entire night without fail. Shit's creepy.

I believe it was stated in Red by Virgilia that Battler was not the culprit. However I forget if she was referring to episodes 1-4 or episode 5 in particular.

Erika's truth is complete bullshit.

>> No.4043592

>>4043575
That was in Episode 2 and only refers to Episode 2 as far as we can tell.

>> No.4043608

Revision:

It is also stated in Episode 5. However, because the Red truth can be twisted horribly, this may be referring to the Battler who committed the sin referred to in Episode 3.

>> No.4043617

>>4043608
It was also stated that Battler hasn't killed anyone.

>> No.4043638

>>4043617
Yeah, but because that was just the red truth, which can be potentially warped, I, for one, refuse to take it at face value. The Battler referred to could be Battler McDougal who lives in Kentucky and hasn't ever killed anyone. Honestly, at this point I wouldn't put it past Ryukishi07.

Considering Battler's actions as game master in Episode 6, I think Virgilia can be trusted on that.

Need I remind you of the very end of Episode 3?

I still haven't let down my defenses.

In the ???? of Episode 5, I was half-expecting for Beato to jump up and yell, "Gotcha, bitch!" to Battler. I-I'm just so broken. I don't know who to trust anymore.

Dude. EP6 Erika apparently makes EP5 Erika look tame in comparison.

You mean the very end of Episode 3 when the only way she could gloss over Battler's massive failure was by playing the entire thing off as a massive troll?

Sob sob, yes! And not only that! Now I know that the red can be misleading! In Episode 5, Battler's viewpoint can't even be trusted even though he's always been a reliable observer in the previous episodes! I can never go back to those days... those days where the red was absolute and Beato was obviously the bad guy. I just can't trust anyone or anything anymore! Not even my parents! I'm sure that they're slowly poisoning my food. But I'm too smart! Oh, yes, I'm much too smart for them! Almighty God! -- no, no? They heard! -- they suspected! -- they KNEW! -- they were making a mockery of my horror! -- this I thought, and this I think. But anything was better than this agony! Anything was more tolerable than this derision! I could bear those hypocritical smiles no longer! I felt that I must scream or die! -- and now -- again -- hark! louder! louder! louder! LOUDER! --

"Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! -- tear up the planks! -- here, here! -- it is the beating of his hideous heart!"

Erika is the best villain so far, and most entertaining to read. I was on the verge of going to her side instead of Battler in that courtroom. She makes Bern and Rika like a joke in quality.
