The baby powder is intended to make it easier to slide your feet across the pad without the need for picking them up. It is literally a way of executing a chart in the most minimal effort possible. It makes it so shit like this is easier to power through while saving as much stamina as possible.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jf5XbJwjrI

I personally think it's retarded and I despise anyone who puts baby powder on public arcade pads. You fuckers should be banned from the public space. It's not your machine. Either keep the baby powder out of Round 1/D&B, or buy your own cab to destroy. Faggots.

It's impossible for timing to be much easier than in data unless they purposely made the timing windows looser, because they're the same program but with a lot of songs removed. The arcade game is just a Windows program, it's not some special thing. Konasute even had the thing where it wouldn't work well on AMD graphics cards, just like data, because they have the same codebase.

$12 a month is reasonable, but you have to take into account song packs. If you're a beginner to intermediate player, it's not a big deal. When you get to 18s and especially 19s, there's very few songs to play. The basic subscription straight up has no 20s. Each 20 is going to cost you from $30 to $60.

The one thing I like about SDVX is how much movement there is with your hands. A lot of VSRGs use a static playstyle where your hands barely move, with one finger always hitting a single button. SDVX's lasers make this impossible, and in high level songs (18+) you basically have to hit every button with a single hand, cross hands, and all sorts of crazy movement. SDVX is not the only game to do this, but it's the best example.

around that range is fairly good for starting out and getting familiar with various patterns, anything less than that is basically "I dont know which key goes to which column". around 20-25 is when you will have experienced most types of patterns that exist, and past that is just getting faster. past 30 would be considered very good, and based on the way the difficulty calculator is intended to function, around 36-37 is meant to be "human limit" (although the calc is not perfect and there are outlier charts that allow people to get 40+ rated scores).

also keep in mind that the calc is based around how difficult it would be to get an AA (93%) on the chart

That was my first post in the thread. The point was that random does affect the relation between the music and the chart, if the note positions reflect the music.

Ah yes, because these songs were clearly made with a 7 key piano.

If you can't handle the smallest of changes in a chart you genuinely suck. The game can be one handed for crying out loud. God forbid you try double mode.

>> No.40583808

>>40583741
Not in the sense that they strictly mimic a piano, but in the same way that the very DJ sound crash cymbal is often represented with scr. Just some position relative concept in the music you can notice while playing.

I don't really get why you're so fixated on difficulty with this. I can barely pass BMS normal2 9's, and I play with random and try to get into insane tables eventually. Musical representation and gameplay are two different approaches to music game charting and for some reason you fail to get this.

>> No.40583906

>>40583808
You're missing the point; the original chart has to be musically accurate. Random just makes the placement different. You're claiming it should reflect the music, but unless you're playing a real instrument, that's literally impossible. Any real musician can look at a rhythm game and acknowledge how retarded it is. A iidx 12 or insane bms chart or whatever doesn't have shit on a real piece of music.

For example, here's how someone would ACTUALLY play V:
https://youtu.be/qss4IRPee0o

Other than the obvious fact of using a real keyboard, notice how in real music you have to use dynamics like piano and forte. You aren't just slapping buttons for approximately 2 minutes like an aspie. If you're worried about musicality, why the fuck are you even playing rhythm games?

Honestly it's one of the finest charts in the history of the game. There are few charts I can classify as "objectively perfect" and R&P Heavy is one of them.

She's so cute...
I love her cute glasses and how she adjusts them daintily at the end. I love her cute knee-length shorts, perfect active wear for hot and humid weather while also being modest and fashionable. Her ponytail is super cute, too, showing that she's ready for some drum-bangin' action. The way she stumbles around after bumping into the arcade lady as her song is starting is absolutely adorable; she seems like a bit of an airhead which is really cute. I think I've fallen for this girl from this nine-second video. If anyone has a link to her YouTube or Twitter or Nico Nico or Bilibili, please do let me know.

It's Taiko.

I'm not sure which installment, exactly. I seriously doubt knowing the name of the game will aid the search, especially knowing how shitty Google and YouTube search engines are nowadays.

As someone who made the musicality argument in the past for nonran, another way you can still appreciate random and musicality is by appreciating the game for what it actually is, a percussion instrument. The keys are really just tiny drums. It becomes a lot more fun with random on because the drum patterns are more spastic and fun. Looking at a charts "musicality" from a piano perspective is laughable, 7 lanes is just far too few. Embrace random and your tiny drumset with crash cymbal plates.

What annoys me is the way they step on the panels. They step on them like they're playing on old Extreme cabinets that have never been serviced since 2006. They think the sensors aren't registering their inputs, but it's just that they're missing the arrows.

ran fishing doesn't really happen outside of like 5 12s. It makes you overall better at the game, so fishing for good randoms isn't really a thing, just a spooky goblin the nonrans invented
