Not gonna roll for Meiling until I know what comes after her because every new month in the jap version is always a dangerous time. Everyone is always dreading them releasing another EFES unit. Next character could also be SFES Patchouli who is way cuter and better than Meiling, comes with her own card and sets a new standard for the meta. Everything is possible. Like >>40256031 said witch of scarlet dreams is a no-brainer for P gain. Her stuff is all yang so a yang attack +3 card would also work well. Her all-target spellcard is all heavy bullet so secret god is a good choice there. And her LW is all energy so give her unknown barrier team. You could also emphasize her fire damage there and give her bonds of blood. If you have it Moryia anniversary would be good for its -2 yang def on any of her cards.

As far a teammates go a yang atk buffer would be appreciated, and also someone who can take advantage of burns. If mokou gets lucky she can inflict more burn anomalies than anyone else in the game, but she can't break them herself.

Worth noting that she reaches max yang atk by exhausting her spellcards and 2nd skill. Of course you don't always have that luxury, but she doesn't have to worry about atk like a lot of launch characters do.

True, but Unknown Barrier Team raises yin atk, which is useless on her. And Bonds of Blood is straight up worse, since her LW isn't all fire. Worlds in Hands give a comparable damage boost to barrier team while also letting her aid her allies. Go with that.

Again, Mokou doesn't need Yang atk, unless you don't get a chance to use her spellcards. Hecatia might be a good ally, since Mokou has Fire breaks that Hecatia wants for her LW and she's immune to Hecatia's freeze barriers. Someone with barrier adding like Yukari would also be useful, considering Mokou's suicidal nature. And unfortunately, the only unit that inflicts Burn to allies is the JP-exclusive, unsparkable Bluemu, so she has a hard time making use of her ability.

For those that are farming the Sakuya card, how do you stagger the breaks?
Any ungrazed hit is an instakill, so you have to end it the turn after you break Flandre, but without boosts you won't be able to kill anything, so you need to break Remi 2 tuns before that and stall.
Problem for me is that whenever I break Remi is also when I 1st break Flan which disables grazes for 1 turn killing everyone.
I know you can try to survive by fullbreaking to buy an extra turn, but it isn't lining up for me.

Biologically, Lossy is a small child but still bigger than Loli Yuyuko because she asks you to pick her up to reach things. Komachi mentions that your lifespan is unusual so there might be some timefuckery that made you smaller like how Yuyuko became smol. As the previous anon said, your clothing size makes you around Akyuu's age so you would be ~12 years old. In Hifuu assuming that you're the same person, you're probably in your mid-20s as a researcher older than Renko and Maribel judging from your more mature dialogue and saying that you will "watch over them."

She is the best character in the game and useful for literally everything that the game has. She's pretty much designed to be the best attack type character. Scales with everything, has the highest damage outside of 20 turn set-ups, never runs out of P, powers up with just about every status effect, full elements on all spells, 0P elements and buffs on both regular shots, her buffs last forever, can recover her own barriers, can instantly gain +2 P, constantly inflicts status and breaks. Even once she runs out of spells, she can sustain herself for a super long time and still deal enough damage to be useful in phantasm arena type content. The only negative thing about her is that she also inflicts status on your team but that can also be a positive depending on the characters you use. At least it is not electricity on your own team. She even has a card designed pretty much just for her that reduces the defense of the entire enemy team and is actually her best card, unlike what Sakuya had with her own card.

Events are hit or miss, at best they're dumb fun and at worst they're actively fanfiction.net tier. Story is really good, borderline manga-tier, if you ignore some retarded translations (fucking retcon battle of bullets already it's retarded and you know it Phantasma) and some stuff I can't help but feel bad for and understand like basically the entire second half of chapter 3. Even ignoring Seija's GATTAI chapter. There's only so much they can explain in 2 lines of text without adding in entire fucking essays on things and there's some things you just cannot translate at all like pretty much all of the Sage titles.

The true biggest problem is story updates are probably among the slowest I've ever seen in any gacha game, 2 and a half arcs in a year is really not a good pace, especially for a game that's trying to be as interconnected as it is and probably won't last more than 3 anyways and doubly so when they're incredibly short compared to some of the other biggest gachas on the market in comparison. And while I get that the quality of writing makes for slower updates, but I'm also a consumer and I'd like to have a story rather than event reruns every other month in a game that's still in its golden years.

The pace of the game is pretty slow in general. Never forget that the jap version has been running for an entire year longer and doesn't really have all that much more stuff to show for it. The jap version might have 2 main story chapters more but both of those are just preludes to chapter 4. One of them is only 4 fights long. In the early days people would often joke about how Cannonball got beaten by a game that had no content because it took so long for new meaningful stuff to be added that wasn't just random characters.

Think it might be time to drop this game and move on because google play is now blocking purchases from the jap version if you don't use a payment option that is based in japan. I used to be able to just buy stuff using paypal by accessing everything from the shop ingame and it did in fact work just 2 weeks ago but now it insists that stuff isn't available in my country. I guess it kinda makes sense since a lot of the debuff characters are super old and the meta is all about triggering full breaks as quickly as possible, which removes all debuffs. E1 Flandre Scarlet, although not present, is an Ultra Festival Friend that can build up to similar damage numbers as F1 Reimu with enough setup. She may cover different elements compared to Reimu and needs that setup time, but Flandre gets more room to grow since she does not get to 3P right away, which actually leads to her performing more damage on Fully Broken opponents. Due to E1 Flandre being still sparkable (although at 250 Exchange Points due to being an Ultra Festival Friend), the game’s balance is still in check. Besides, this being a game only focused on taking down enemies means there are still many viable Friends for clearing challenging content.
tl;dr she's the best character in the game but not an auto-win button. Gamble your stash at your own risk, and only if you're ok with potentially getting screwed. It would be wise to set a max spending cap beforehand at the very least.

It was released at an awkward time because we don't have the best units for it. Parsee, Raiko, Bluemu (no one has her combat ready yet), and MoF Suwako are all unavailable. And two other good ones (legend sakuya and MoF Kanako) are new. You can do it without any of these with a 6-person comp. For instance there are a number of clears on youtube using Daiyousei. But it's very difficult now to actually farm the thing. Will be much easier when the eventual rerun comes around.

Pretty fun, got the 400 last week. More difficult than the Tower/Lunatic arena, but not as horseshit as Phantasm arena. I appreciate the specific yin/yang buffs because outside of team buffing and avoiding debuffs in the tower, there's no real difference between yin and yang stats in-game. Makes me realize that I have a ton of yang Technical units but few yin ones.
Only thing I don't like is that you really can't use characters with 1-1-3 LWs and no P boost, like Mamizou or Yukari, if you're going for a perfect score. And even modern FES friends like Keiki, Nue, and ZUN Byakuren are tough to use because of their 1-1-3 LWs. And it's really dumb that every character ability that uses Graze is worthless.

Huge disagree, since you can use non-LW spellcards in Lunatic arena to full break enemies easily if you don't have a good LW to deal with them (or you need a turn to build P for it). But the strict 5 spellcard limit in weekly arena means you have to spam LWs, and you can rarely full break enemies.

Which stage are you trying to clear and who do you have available? It can be smart to perfect clear easier stages first so you know what characters you have available for other stages. And remember to put bullet/element-boosting cards on LWs instead of yin, yang, or accuracy buffs, since buffs have decreased efficacy in arena.

This weekly arena challenge is actually a lot of fun when you actually try for the max score. I've had to squeeze every bit of damage from units I never thought I'd use just to ensure the kill. L1 Sanae was actually the lynchpin for the heal/spd challenge with her hyper-buffed LW hitting just the right elements.

Only issue I have with it is a lot of units need to be maxed out in order to get the damage necessary to kill these enemies with just their 1 turn LW, so if you're the type to never awaken your units to save SP for farming, you're gonna have a hard time.

Biggest thing is that her damage is higher than some sfes characters and is on average the highest of all FES friends. Her slayers are quite insane. Copy/pasted from the wiki: Spring-Killer, Gensokyo-Killer, Human-Killer, Fairy-Killer, winter-Killer, Netherworld-Killer, Youkai-Killer, Soul-Killer. Her turn 1 damage is excellent and so is her room for growth; she has no built-in crit atk buffs so maxing her out there will more than double her output.

Outside of damage (and great hard scaling) she has a wide assortment of good qualities, such as
>tons of elements; only 2 lines in her whole kit are non-elemental
>can inflict anomalies: 3 burn to 1 target on a 4t cd
>can break anomalies: cheap 1P solo burn break and 2P All ice break on last word
>team buff support in the form of yin def, yang def, yin atk, and accuracy
>self-buffs are very good, can get herself to 10 yin atk / 10 yin def on turn 2
>self barrier restore on spellcard and skill
>pretty good at farming
>benefits from pretty much all buffs, making her easy to put on a team
>spread shot is great. First two lines are sure hit, is self-sustaining @ 2P against 3 enemies, and gives her 3T of yin atk and def
>All-target spellcard is on par with EoSD Reimu's in terms of damage. Has youkai-slayer in first 3 lines and human in the last 3.
>1st and 3rd skills have low cooldown @ 4t
>small thing, but most (all?) other attack-boosting passives are either 50% or 70% proc. Yukari's is 80% for some reason.

She has downsides as well, of course. her 1-2-2 spread on her spellcards is unfortunate and hurts her elemental breaking ability- her all-target spell only hits water twice @ 2P and earth/star once. Her team accuracy boost only lasts for 1T, which is a bit of a joke. She suffers from rainbow syndrome a bit, though she is helped here by her 1P 3 barrier anomaly auto-break and her "DMG to resisted elements 20% UP" passive. And in general while her kit has damn near everything she is not the best at any one thing. She's kinda jack-of-all-trades-ish but can also murder stuff so it's fine.

One thing to note, the Japanese stream had a note that said that Yukari and Kasen will "appear in regular banners". So it seems that they might start putting older festival units in the regular friend pool (and presumably the friend ritual?).
