What differentiates a text-to-speech program and a voice synthesizer? Zundamon is posted here sometimes and is acknowledged as a loid, but he comes from VoiceVox which is a text-to-speech program, no? I'm curious where the line between the two is.

The gameplay is a bit different in the Arcade based games (Future Tone and MEGA39's) and the F/X games, main difference is F/X have scratch, double, and (in X) rush notes where FT/MEGA39's have sliders, holds, and multi notes.
Personally my favorite games are F 2nd, F, and X as I prefer their mechanics to the Arcade ones and they feel a bit better charted to me, but FT/MEGA39's do have a lot more songs and harder difficulties.

F, F 2nd, and X all have completely unique song lists from each other, FT/MEGA39's have a lot of the same songs as other games but that's mainly just cause they have basically everything.

I love his design, the banana hair is iconic and he looks cute. He's very meme-able with the banana thing, the sexual songs, him dying often, etc, so you can't really take him too seriously which just makes it more fun.

Best part though is his voice, it works as a low boyish voice or as a high pitched shota voice or anywhere in between and it can still sound good. Him (and Rin) also have some very powerful voices which I feel some of the other loids don't quite match, great for more emotional songs.

He would still be my favorite even if I didn't want to fuck him.

You probably won't like this, but the best way to meet people online now is discord. My only two other friends that like vocaloid I actually met on here! though we talk mainly through discord. And I got my best friend into it through introducing Project Diva to him and playing it together, now he's almost better at the game than I am and loves the Kagamines.
I think almost everyone slightly weeby at least knows Miku's existence, but they probably don't know her songs or any of the others.
Almost all discord servers are mainly just full of kids though.

People who like vocaloids aren't really mystical unicorns so don't set your expectations too high and don't try so hard. Another idea is slowly getting your current friends into vocaloid. I took one of my friends who was already predisposed to Japanese culture to miku expo and he instantly loved it. Discord isn't really the best platform to make friends because it enables flaky people who'll suddenly drop all contact without warning. False. I have went to multiple events and no online can even go close to just the experience of being part of the audience. Even if you go alone, just being able to wave sticks and chant along with everyone is worth it. I don't even buy any merch except a stick.

You can't really replicate the feeling of the entire concert venue thundering with bass with current VR tech. A transition to VR only experiences would be incredibly disappointing for a good chunk of fans. VR/online only concerts right now are still just a coping method till the world is able to properly reopen.

My disappointment is immeasurable.
Especially considering guides and stuff I really expected to have an actual route with Miku. But ""Miku"" route has nothing to do with Miku, literally zero. It doesn't even have anything to do with the rest of this badly written story either. They should either flesh out Miku and give her proper ending like other girls, or just give up on her altogether.
If you consider to play this game for Miku, don't even bother. Maybe if you are Russian you will be able to enjoy one of the many community routes that disappointed fans created, but otherwise it's not worth it.
At least we have Mirai no Kimi to, Subete no Uta ni, but I wish there was more english translated Miku VNs.

The artist for the background is rather popular in the sense that his works have been around boorus and other wallpaper places for a while. It's how I got to know about the VN back then I'm pretty sure and I wouldn't be surprised it's the case for a sizeable amount of people out there.

I think anticyclone was all bangers but the new one is kinda mid. tbf he did said in some interview that weather station doesn't have any decided theme on it and more like a collection of songs he actually wanted to make. so yeah, it's better to listen to that album as individual tracks.

true but damn, every songs in that album are insanely high level, to the point some of the collaborators tried to implement what they learned from their collab partner on their newer works. i don't think we will get something as exciting as that one anymore for a while unless they decided to make another one with an entirely new roster of producers or at least different pairing (which was picked randomly on the first place kek).
