At least for my roster its pretty much entirely all-targetting stuff and the few solo-targetting LW's I have don't outdamage the AoE ones on solo-targets, hence why I hate them for EX stages since I always have to work under the assumption that I'm going to miss a bomb refill because of said AoE.

Global has element EX stages while JP just recently added VS stages. I don't play jp so take this with a grain of salt, but I think EX is better because it's challenging + you can farm it for really good story cards. I think the VS stage has issues with farming/was incredibly expensive. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

The base concept is the same: tough battle to get story cards. The problem with VS battles is that the jap version does literally nothing to help with the farming. There is no point system, there is no event store. In the 2nd VS battle they gave out 1 card for free if you just beat the stage, kinda like the Conflux battle, but you still had to farm the rest yourself. The first battle was impossible to beat with less than 4 characters so the cheapest possible team was 32 spirit, which all has to come out of your own savings, and that is assuming you even have the exact 4 characters who can even beat it without being at 5 stars. There was no extra spirit being handed out. There are also no bomb drops or anything like that in battle. It cost me so much spirit to get a copy of Behind the Danmaku to full power that I bought all 20 of the 3000 spirit packs that you could buy in 1 period.

You need everything because Sanae has 0 buffs in any on her own. The best card in theory should be the Okina card because it buffs the damage of her final bullet and another one that also has slayers on it. Of course you then need to also give her +10 yin and yang attack, max crit damage and buff her accuracy and debuff the enemy to -10 yin and yang defense.

Otohime LW seems to be mainly used for breaks+barriers for the team. The extra Liquid damage doesn't seem that important? Maybe needed to break the second gauge but Murasa seems to be doing most of the damage here so I'm not sure.
If that's the case any Spirit Power up should do the trick.

Japs have already done the math on reincarnated Yuyuko. Now she is around Tenshi's damage. But Yuyuko already has the max number of attack buffs while Tenshi doesn't so Tenshi is still way stronger in a real fight.

At full power it's ~70k superior. Not bad. And apparently in arena reincarnated units do well because buffs are reduced but they bypass that with their 1.4x modifier, so she should be usable there. But as you pointed out there's very little room for growth from team support.

I really hate this event. I don't even know what's going on. The MC got sucked into a game and Yukari is in the fucking journal for whatever reason. Despite Kaguya, Mokou, and Keine having costumes in the event, implying important, it's the 5th day and they showed up for all of 5 seconds to say a line and get beaten like every other enemy so far. It is only now that Keine is being brought up again but I can't be bothered anymore, I've actually started skipping the dialogue.

It seems to be a parody of some game series' I know nothing about, and the post-battle scripts are almost definitely condensed way more in Japanese than they are in English making an already awkward event even more awkward. As for Mokou and her girlfriends I'm fucking glad they haven't shown up for more than two lines, because their interactions are written more horribly than Kogasa "DID YOU KNOW IM A BLACKSMITH DID YOU DID YOU DID YOU" Tatara in events, and also because Mokou's one and only line so far is the worst attempt I've ever seen at delinquentspeak.

I've actually found this event to be pretty fun. I'm surprised nobody here knows of Nobunaga's Ambition-like games. Sengoku Rance, Eratoho, that sort of stuff. I can see them taking weird shortcuts between places, alliances between factions and even large factions devouring smaller ones as part of a game like that. Also I've found the jokes to be funny.

If you want to know something extra funny, the Cleaning card is not the best damage boosting card for Sakuya, the crit def debuff is only for 1 turn and Sakuya has the Charge effect on her accuracy buff skill so it becomes extra annoying to even use.

Her cleanse is perfect for this stage since only the skills get locked and that gets autocleansed after 1 turn for her so everyone gets to party.
If you look at the conflux stage, there were simply too many locks to reliably use her cleanses, you had to make 1 team bear all the curses and switch them out.
As soon as there's 2 locks up your setup isn't consistent if you're relying on a specific lock being removed.

This is what I did. Her party-wide seal purge skill is unique to her and her alone. It's almost essential for water EX. I love Kaguya's Costume in this event. It's perfect for her. I genuinely would believe that this is something she would wear if she decided to wear modern clothes. As a rule ZUN friends > other FES friends (with some exceptions). But it also depends on what you need right now. Are you short some elements? Do you want a particular kind of unit?
ZUN Sanae is a team agi buffer with a good solo water break and a wood/water/star last word. Aya provides hit support and is mainly a sun breaker with metal/water/wood on the side.

Outside of those two Nazrin is probably the best. She's a good supporter, giving your team spirit power, and since she was released later she hits decently hard. Has one of the few mostly metal last words on global.

Yukari, Okina, Eiki, and Aunn are all usable in their own way. Yukari is defense/barrier support with a LW that does good damage with reincarnation and her spellcard, Okina has a star/earth LW that also does good damage, Eiki hits fire/sun and is alright, and Aunn provides support and has an all sun LW. Just choose the one that would be most useful to you right now. Or just the one you like the most. Since you have ZUN Sanae almost there she strikes me as a no-brainer.

Oh wait I just noticed I left out Mamizou. She's alright too. She has a lot of elements so she can be a good breaker in tower and arena. But she NEEDS the red marisa card to function.

First of all, I wouldn't use dolls on general pool friends, since you'll eventually MLB them just by rolling. It's not like paper dolls are particularly rare, but I've never had an excess of them when there's so many FES friends to build up instead.

I'd suggest rolling for MoF Kanako then. She has a 4 break all-target Metal LW, decent metal on her spellcards including a 4 break solo target, and an all-target Metal focus shot.
Otherwise, ZUN Aya isn't a great choice since she has barely any Metal in her spellcards/LW and Nazrin is good but general pool. Unless you're just worried about Remilia EX, where Aya can be really useful since she's mostly Sun. You might also consider Joon: Her breaks are terrible, but her Aid spellcards actually provide good buffs and her LW damage makes short work of Flan.

We must have different amounts of FES friends. With MoF Kanako coming up I have just enough dolls to MLB her. I get using dolls on some of the more JP-recent general pool friends (like Nazrin wouldn't be a bad idea, yeah) or favorites you really, really want to use. If you're not strapped for dolls, I'd say get the cards just so you've got a couple of free party-wide +1 barriers. It's not really ideal for anything else as most defense units cap out on Focus relatively easily but it'd be nice to have. But it's really 100% up to your doll situation.

Parsee never really did much in the jap version but then she was suddenly super good for both the Blue Reimu card stage and the Sakuya card stage.

Her elements are a bit odd. All target stuff is mostly sun, with her spellcard being literally EoSD Reimu's. But her solo spellcard is very metal heavy with 4 breaks @ 2P. Guess sun is in high demand with these EX modes and more metal never hurt.

She also gives yin atk via grazing, reduces crit def, inflicts 2 freeze to all, and her damage is around Tenshi's and twice that vs spirits and fairies. She's really quite good for an L1 general unit.

Her design is super cute. Meta-wise she's "controversial" from what I've read; some think she's bad for an sfes unit while others think she's really good. Her evasion gimmick is interesting and actually might be useful for stages like conflux where your shields are locked. You can't farm with it but you could brute-force a clear. She purportedly gets a ton of P from her attacks so she can throw out 3P spellcards constantly; not that she needs to with her fairly front-loaded kit. And her damage is pretty high (https://東方ロストワード.com/?p=14170). Note that these numbers are with 1. no crit buffs 2. mediocre yang buffs and 3. lacking a good story card. So with some support and a future liquid card her numbers should be very impressive. Then again the memelist puts her full setup damage at "S-" so I'm not sure who's right here.

That's the situation with Hunter Sakuya too.
She's lacking in Yang buffs, but considering how she doesn't need WOSD on everything she can instead stack it though Yakumos/Ordinary Magicians. Full Sun LW too.

I use Kaguya for grinding Black Youmu and Necromancer cards right now. She did not join the regular phantasm team since she is better at doing stuff while at 8p instead of going into hard content. She did get to help out in the weekly arena though because one of the stages boosts the yang attack/defense of speed and tank characters.
