Anons who can read nip, is translating a good way to practice? Idk how to measure my level but for context I have 4367 mature cards, I pretty much understand most of drama cds I listen to; but when it's comes to VNs- voiced lines are good, not-voiced monologues and grammar specifically used in literature (not conversational) can be difficult.

Not really? Translation does help insofar as it really forces you to think about what a line means, but it's a different skill. You'll realize pretty early on that there's tons of lines you completely understand, but have no idea how to translate to English. You can accomplish the same effect just by going slow and steady and making sure you understand the line before moving on. Take it from somebody who's translated a couple million lines over the past decade

There’s a few CDs I remember seeing on the site that I could never find. I think they all had one boy from each game together as a 3P, I’m sure there was a Ruby and Utsuro one. The CD continuity was a little different from memory, there was no implication there were two heroines so they could do that I guess. There were several series of CDs.
there was the initial one with one guy per CD, there were CDs with a duo, one boy from each game. I don't think there was a ruby and utsuro one, it was hakuou/utsuro and ruby/rin, lastly takanemaru/sumeragi of course. Since the premise of those is "after you became queen" you can just summon anyone to your bedroom I guess
And finally there were 4P CDs for each protagonist with her game's harem.

(and yeah Rin tops, although it's as a sort of self-deprecating hysterical yandere so it's not like they really changed the character, he just snapped basically)

Been playing choudoku for the first time and got Shiba's two bad ends, about to go for his good end. I would normally absolutely hate this sort of misunderstanding-centric plot but for some reason I didn't. Maybe because it seemed perfectly reasonable for Yuriko to assume the worst, the fact that he was genuinely madly in love with her to the point he'd overlook her obvious intent to poison him just to have a chance to larp at married life is pretty bizarre.
Yuriko being kind of a bitch is a good touch, I think. Something of a tangent but I get sick of stories where the heroine's only flaws are 'she's too pure and naive' or 'she's too selfless' or other things that are either very superficial or '(virtue) gone too far'. Especially when the guys are all batshit insane psychos and then you get a scene where the heroine is like 'I understand your guilt LI-kun, I still blame myself for the death of my little brother (that is obviously not my fault at all in any way), we're the same...'

The main draw of joseimuke apps isn't that they appeal to a wider audience, it's that they guarantee an ongoing stream of content that keeps an audience around and encourages fandom to keep the hype going. With VNs you finish the game and that's it. That's why mobage have been doing so well overall.
I highly doubt Otomate's bromance brand will do well at all. Its existing audience isn't interested and its potential audience already has better options for bait. The only way I could see it do well is if by some miracle they put out a masterpiece and it spreads by word of mouth.

Because Mangagamer keeps all the 18+ stuff in the games they publish they have to put an age gate on them for steam and because of that there's more of a barrier for people to find them. I don't quite remember if it was about 18+ games being hidden from recommendations or search results. Jast makes those 'all ages' versions so they don't have to put on the age gate and the games will be spread around more easily.
