Run anchor.exe, japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav folder to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there's guides currently in TW folder(in #Translation) on what to do, since I mostly played TW, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide from threads is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:
K: ERB/口上
TW: ERB\口上・メッセージ関連\個人口上
You can also report bugs or typos when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits for 2hus, the files are located within the resource folder as webps also known as the worst filetype known to man.

Eramegaten isn't that hard. Pump points into endurance until it hits 10 or so for your first levels and play as a devil summoner for the first playthrough so you can have Raidou carry your ass through the tutorial on the first day. Beyond that it's your standard megaten mechanics, hit weaknesses, use buffs and debuffs, don't let shit hit your own weaknesses. It's by far the best era game followed by maybe K or sumireteru. Stone of Mirada is the easiest way to get a sex friend. If you don't have it, get higher intimacy/get close to yearning, you should be able to use skinship earlier than around that point, also, if the character lives in a different place than you do, sometimes when you try to visit their room, you will have a message that "you hear a muffled voice inside", that means they are masturbating and if they trust you enough (around yearning should be fine), you will be able to fuck them. that should boost it significantly.
