Japan's weed laws are ridiculous. Unless I had a job that would allow me to fly over to Cali regularly, I would not want to live there full-time. You also forget that you would not be allowed to drive the car on public roads. Shipping a car alone costs 4.5k since you will have to get a whole shipping container for yourself, which you might as well fill with other goodies.

Best bet would to be to actually travel there and purchase a container to fill up. I am going to say that you would need between 10k~15k to make any of this worth while. Save up anon~kun and make your dream come true if you really desire it.

In the end if you want something to drive like a kei car, go get an original mini cooper. They are still very popular in Japan and are widely available without having to import one.
