I can't say I've heard of Tadoku, it was a package of books with levels 1-4 and each level contains 3 volumes with 5 stories in each. They take me a bit of time to read through but I couldn't think of anything that'd be easier; a lot of people recommend Yotsuba but it seems to have a lot of slang.
