Doesn't exist unless you count stuff like Bible Black as hentai.

Unless you count the drawing I guess. Everyone has downs in the VN.

>> No.3975941

Although the Clannad anime was pretty damn good I don't think that it was better than the original VN.
Kanon, on the other hand...

>> No.3975959

>>3975941
It's a tough call. The VN has a lot more content, but I always felt that what was covered in the anime was better done there than in the VN, with the exception of the last two episodes and Kyou's arc.

The anime did the cohabitation part badly.

Probably Agree

Has anyone heard anything about licensing for the movies? I know someone picked up the novel rights, but they are holding pack until the movies are regionalized.

The anime did the emotional scenes in After Story at least as good, if not better, than the VN.

>> No.3975998

Utawarerumono seemed well done, though the gap between playing and watching it was pretty large.

Hard to be worse than the source for that one.

I wouldn't say that the anime is better, but it's certainly a faithful adaption.

Kyoani fanboy detected.
Cool story bro. I don't see how a single chapter being turned into a full second season can be called a faithful adapation.

I was mainly referring to the first season. Hell, I haven't even bothered to watch the second season yet and that's mostly because it reminds me too much of K-On.
