There are many reasons why monkeys can't learn Japanese. First, they don't have the vocal apparatus to produce the sounds of Japanese. Second, they don't have the cognitive ability to understand the grammar and syntax of Japanese. Third, they don't have the motivation to learn Japanese, as it has no utility for them.

If you think Nanaru's route is a comedy and romance black hole then I don't think you're going to like Maho's. I don't remember anything particularly bad about Suzu's route, but she goes full dere in it instead of her snarky quips and backtalking that she does in the other routes so it's like her personality disappears.

I did Maho's first since I'm a fighting game nerd myself, it was boring but the pacing and lead up to their confession and shit was at least better than this and Shiina didn't bother me as much as Suzu has in Nanaru's. I'd probably drop this once I'm finished with Nanaru's but I actually bought the game during a sale so I'd feel bad not doing every route. At least the common route and Shiina's route were fun.

Yeah, the common route was pretty fun for me too but the routes were substantially less enjoyable. I don't remember having a problem with Nanaru or her route but I read it at release so it's been a while.
Like I mentioned earlier, I thought Koikari was a lot better so if you haven't read that one yet then pick it up in the future.

Something I find interesting is that Aokana and WR are really similar in a lot of ways, but WR almost completely ignores talent vs hard work and just says all the heroines are super-talented AND work really hard.
