That's correct for 02, but the remake of rance 1 and especially 3 are completely different. New gameplay, additional characters more H-scenes etc. The story of how the remakes came to be is quite interesting with Tada, the director of the entire series (except 9), putting his magnum opus into the hands of the two guys he trusts the most. On one hand an upcoming game director who saved him during the development of Daiteikoku, a trauma he's still seething about in his blog, and on the other hand a dude who draws hot loli's.

What are some good novels that focus on romance drama with love triangles and shit?
I've played Totono but the DDLC type shit killed it for me and I've heard White Album 2 is pretty good

I've been enjoying it since launch. It's the best story content I've seen in a mobage. Basically the only one with a story and character events that aren't complete skipcore. I'd even go so far as to say that it puts most recent VN releases to shame, especially when it comes to production values. The plot isn't all that interesting so far and since it's Keyshit every arc has to have it's tearyerker moment, but the bulk of the writing is fast paced boke tsukkomi humor reliant on eccentric characters and running jokes. First 5 minutes of the game give a good overview of what to expect so just watch it on YouTube if you are interested. Every piece of writing of the game is playable if you are F2P, although the final boss of the most recent chapter can be tricky without the meta characters. And for past events, they are planning to add a way to do replay story events so it shouldn't matter when you start playing.

This might be true for the main story, but that's not all the story content the game has to offer. Even then, one of the main strenghts of Jun's writing is that for comedy it doesn't really matter where it's inserted into the plot. Even if the story doesn't move forward an inch until the game gets End of Service'd ( which I'd doubt considering all the foreshadowing) , I would stil read it provided he can keep the jokes fresh.

You can only make jokes with the same characters for so long. More importantly, you can only think of so much for the setting and the story before you get really fucking sick of it all. And notice your quota is only halfway done.
Gacha is pretty much the one medium NOT fit to do much other than serve as a social platform to promote fan products and the like. That's why they're rightfully called ソシャゲー even when painfully lacking in online or social elements beyond a gambling machine and a basic string of incremental numbers meant to rip you off.
As for Romeo's game, it's happening. Eventually. Perhaps sooner rather than later.

And that's the Himeru route done. It's only like an hour and a half to two hours long, at most, with 1 h-scene but it's amazingly good for a free DLC. The gags were great and Himeru's cute and shockingly gets actual substantive character depth beyond being the one-note sex pun lady. The more I think about it, the more I have come to view people who binge consume content of any form be it, anime, VNs or even academic journals are the most despicable kinds of individuals.

There is nothing admirable about trivialising what otherwise be a memorable, thought-provoking experience by rushing through it as fast as you possibly can.

Every month around this time, I see posts from people who braggadociously claim to have completed a route, or at times multiple in the span on hours after a game is released. You haven't completed anything, you merely passively consumed media like the disgusting sheep you are, hopping from one world to another aimlessly until you burnout and say "it isn't as good as it used to be".

I read about 20 times faster than most of the rest of you - with the exception of a few bibliophiles. What is a true chore, taking up tens of hours for you, might very well only be a short eight to ten hours for me. Reading that fast - whether in English or Japanese - gives me a greatly different perspective than a lot of the others here.
My stamina for reading in general and reading VNs in particular is far higher than the rest of you. Fundamentally, the idea of breaking a VN up over the course of weeks or months is alien to me, since even the longest ones will only take me about thirty hours (even in a busy week, I can usually manage to squeeze that in during breaks and meals).
Because VNs aren't drawn out for me, I don't suffer through the slice of life and daily scenes like some of you do. I can sit back and enjoy what I'm reading without feeling any stress whatsoever from the reading itself, as long as the VN isn't too bad. In addition, even scenes too difficult to read for the average VN-player are relatively simple for me to read, so i don't get significantly stressed out by that factor either.
One of the reasons people tend to get tired of VNs is a lack of stimulation due to low reading speed. I read fast enough that a good VN's stimulation will be close to constant, whereas a slow reader will sometimes come to feel 'in-between' scenes that are meant to be short and informative as painful and long.
The act of reading in itself can bring me something close to sexual pleasure if what I'm reading is interesting. The reason I like chuunige is because to me, the stimulation from a good chuunige is actually better than sex. There is always something going on and that something is usually meant to shake up the emotions or engage the intellect. Since, for me, reading something like this really does give me so much pleasure, I can honestly say that concerns about length don't bother me at all, lol.
