Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese developed text porn games. Some of these games have ongoing translation and modding projects. It's not exclusively related to 2hu but it's one of the series with most era games.

Run anchor.exe, japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav folder to avoid any bugs.
Also read the fucking tutorial in TW.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there's guides currently in TW folder(in #Translation) on what to do, since I mostly played TW, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide from threads is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:
K: ERB/口上
TW: ERB\口上・メッセージ関連\個人口上
You can also report bugs or typos when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits for 2hus, the files are located within the resource folder as webps.

What does affect you getting exp points from helping people work? Is it their stats? I barely gain exp by helping Mima train or Rin at the souls thing neither do I gain stuff by helping Yumemi research, but I consistently gain from helping Ruukoto cook or Miyoi at the human village. I don't understand how it works.

Unfortunately the untranslated Sakuya is the one I like the most.
I don't like how they did the maids either. There are settings to change them as you please in the setup phase of the game but it's fucking settings and your choices are made fun of. Nonsense.
Not even the other characters that have unique settings put up with that shit.

Default and /EGG/ make it feel like Sakuya is older than you but implies she's young. To be fair, I don't like them as much. The way she's set up ingame rubs me the wrong way.

Just uhh do Fairy Soldiers early game and make a lot of Barracks and Markets. Bow Tower if you have a good bottleneck territory and you're confident nobody will take it from you. Improved Negotiations help if you're trying to make people stop attacking you. The military research branch is probably the best all game after those. This works just like being an officer for any other 2hu, meaning you can just release all of their prisoners, fire their officers, and quit your job anytime you want since you aren't under Contract. Therein lies the dilemma. During a run, you can use a Reset Potion to clear the Surrender status on a 2hu if you messed up and couldn't save them in time (or literally couldn't because the special faction's prisoner doesn't turn up in the slave market such as the Tentacles). But doing so will still mean they will have to live with the favour/etc. hit they receive for every turn they're being 'tortured' by them, unless you end up having to reset that too because you don't want to deal with raising them back up from -1000 because they surrendered.
On the other hand, if you surrender yourself, you'll have that mark on you but no one else will have to suffer for long by gaming it that way. Though it feels a bit cheaty to deliberately join a faction just to destroy it from the inside like that. There really needs to be more autonomy so that you don't have to get access to that sort of thing unless you're friendly enough with your ruler.

Personally I don't mind having a few 2hus surrendering to the special factions, I just wish it didn't have to come with the cost of their favour and such. AL-K made it so that no one lost those points (probably because it'd otherwise break their 'special' (NTR) starts), so if I didn't feel like saving anyone via the slave market I could just deal with things as they come.

Special factions won't always let you surrender immediately; You're more likely to lose a few turns before the first offer, especially if it's a repeat capture. But, I definitely agree with how cheesy it feels to let all the prisoners walk out scott free. Reset Potion feels like a borderline of cheating and using the game mechanics. You have to research almost everything, but you can reset anything at a point where you gain enough money to use it every turn. There really isn't a fair but effective way to save your girls outside of total war. I guess that's the horrors of war outside of the Explore command.
Personally, I only just got into the PC-98 games recently so whenever I see Rikako in TW I always remember Bandit Rape. Not so much for Mugetsu and Sariel, surprisingly. It's the only reason I'm hesitant to play with Factions on in Hard mode. I don't want my perceptions overwritten again.

It's damn near impossible to do straight 5s.
Succubus for example steals entire levels. It takes a long time to go from 164 to 165, and they can get there just by capturing your officers.
That's not to mention the other factions that start off around C-A rank across the board.
Unless you and your children have 110 across the board, I wouldn't recommend it because the special factions have way too many events that go in their favor.

It's a very weird system. You can see the amount of gems you gain per interaction but the translation into actual exp for skills doesn't seem so straightforward. For certain things a gem lvl seem to equal an exp point, but for things like intimacy it doesn't make sense. When you're using the Reset Potion on a non-2hu (including yourself if a custom char), unfortunately you can only use it to mostly reset your virginities. I don't use it on myself often enough to remember if it lets you reset surrender status as well, but I don't think it does? So if you surrender yourself to save others you'll be ruined but everyone else will remain happy (to a certain extent). You'd have to save your character at the end of the run and reset everything through the custom char menu. Is it worth it? I suppose being Ruined yourself doesn't have an impact on your actions. Or does it? I've never let my character be Ruined before from surrendering. I'm one of the strange anons that play as a female in a K game of all era games, so things are already 'dangerous' as it is without getting captured by a special faction.

Okay, let's start from the beginning.
Every action (COM) gains SOURCE, then the raw gains will be stored in array called CUP, which will then convert to parameters (PALAM). Parameter gain can be influenced drastically by how much character is trained, that even a slight amount of source can grow into thousands when it gets converted. This behavior is true for almost every era game.
When you raise parameters equal or higher than a certain threshold (PALAMLV), you gain more and more gems (JUEL). For example at at parameter lv5 (30k parameter) you gain 1000 gems, lv10 - 12k, lv14 - 100k, lv15 - 150k. As lv15 is the cap, you won't gain any additional gems from increasing that parameter further for the duration of the day.
You do not gain gems right away, only at the end of the day (stored in GOTJUEL array), where parameters will be also reset, and your progress is converted into gems (GOTJUEL is added to JUEL).
Negative parameters like Hostility, Discomfort and Depression gain special gems called Denial Gems. They will offset every other gem you gained, effectively subtracting them (which will also spend bad gems) until there are none. Denial Gems usually don't eat through any gems other than Desire, Submission and Loyalty gems (basically stuff relevant to making the character fall).
Pleasure gems are also multiplied by the amount of times character orgasmed (EX).
Lubrication parameter is special in this regard as it never gains its own gems, so the speed of getting wet cannot be upgraded directly.
Marks are also gained in similar manner by gaining a sum of certain parameters at once. For example, Hate Mark lv1 needs a sum of negative parameters between 500 and 1000. TW is sort of fucked up in this regard where for lv3 Hate Mark you only need a sum of bad parameters equal or higher than 2000, rather than 3000 in every other slave training era game.
