There are three decks that get used in the modern learning scene.

yeah i'm mining my own, but i want a supplement to grind in the background. if someone else's mining deck is of high quality, then their example sentences/picture context are enough to learn. grinding premade decks may not be the ideal, but efficiency-wise, you get to reap the benefits of the effort they put into making them. it's kind of odd to think that if i didn't encounter the word in a book myself that i can't learn it just because someone else did the extraction.

If you really need something to grind, just grab Core 6k so you get the next 4000 most common cards not included in 2.3k. But you aren't going to find the mining deck you are looking for. There's nothing efficient about it.

There is a hell of a difference between naturally reading a word in a variety of sentences and contexts and passing an anki card with a word on it. Making the card isn't where the magic of language learning happens. Reading is where it happens

but the issue is that you don't know which definition the card is asking without the context
however, you do want to have separate cards for different definitions rather than having them all on the same card
