Are you implying Earth isn't covered by boundaries? If I wanted to I could list hundreds of boundaries in the Earth's atmosphere alone. "Barriers" have nothing to do with Yukari's power of destruction. Her power is on par with most Gods of the Touhouverse. According to ZUN she could have "easily" destroyed Gensokyo. Just the mere fact that she didn't is proof that she was holding back against Reimu. I guess at the end of the day she's still a good natured youkai. Her motives are powered by boredom/curiosity.

People get in Gensokyo when they're not supposed to all the time, that's how most of the games play out.

Anyhoo...the Lunarians wouldn't enter to begin with because the Earth is impure, another thing set in stone by ZUN. The fight would have to come to them, so I'm thinking a hypothetical Gensokyo set on the surface of the moon.

Quite seriously, the Lunarians wouldn't conquer anything on Earth, so that rules out the possibility entirely. Notice, however, in the original post that I didn't say they would. I said that they -could-, which is just a suggestion.

Technically the Goddesses like Suwako and Kanako are the strongest (despite the fact that Eastern Gods aren't as powerful as our Western God). The only reason why Reimu can fight (and win) against powerful Touhous like Yukari, Yuka, and Eirin is because she has the ability to summon the power of the Gods. The only reason why Yukari is in the upper bracket of powerlevels is because ZUN specifically states that "her power of manipulation is on par with the Gods."

It is said that Yukari enjoys holding back her power during fights in order to toy with them; Reimu probably used that as an advantage. Even immortal characters like Mokou and Kaguya were defeated by Reimus' (canon) God hax.

Yorihime has the same powers as Reimu except more, making her one of the strongest characters in the Touhouverse. Even the strongest of Lunarians relies on the power of the Gods. The only advantage that Reimu would have in a fight against her is that Gensokyo's Gods are stronger.

The only final bosses she *might* be able to beat with her human tier powers alone, are Remilia and Byakuren.

So far, the strength of the strongest youkai have been measured by how strong they are in comparison to the gods. As far as I know, there isn't a stronger force above said gods. I doubt Yuka and Yukari combined could defeat Kanako.
