I bought this from a shop in Kyoto. Anyone know if it's an imagined scene or something from Japanese history? I think it's an original print made in 1862 by a an artist named Yoshitora, but didn't really come with a titled attached to it. There's not much information on the artist online. All I really know is he was the pupil of Kuniyoshi, the artist who did the famous print "Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre" as well as numerous others.

From what I can tell it's based off a novel that got turned into a kabuki play

That’s pretty cool. Thanks gentleman. It was neat to learn the history behind the piece.
