Disregard SHIT advice frequently posted in these threads. Things to avoid:
・Itazuraneko. Outdated, hard to follow, confusing for beginners.
・tmw/The moe way. Patreon scam run by a turkish tranny.
・any rentry.org and геddiт """guides""". nothing good has ever come out of геddiт.
・Anime cards (the guide by someone named QM). It recommends words cards, which are proven to be less effective than targeted sentence cards (TSCs).
・Core 2.3k. It is based on newspapers from early 90s and additionally sorted in a way that makes learning harder. Try Ankidrone Starter Pack instead.
・Anacreon. Anacreon is an infamous spammer. He constantly hijacks our threads to shill his shit.
・Discord servers. Discord is malware that runs a data mining operation. DJT has moved to Matrix.
・Refold, Migaku and other money grab schemes.

yes and no, did the experiment of limiting mining to see just how big ankis effect was, before i was mining some 70 cards a day, you do acquire stuff, but its random, i noticed the number of words i remembered the kanji for dropped noticeably, and sharply

of course its just an anecdote, but i was curious to see the effect anki had and at least for me, its huge, being able to direct what you actively want to remember is tremendous as the "natural way" is essentially random and happens anki or not

and well, while i don't have a hard timeframe i want to be done in, i do want to be done "as soon as possible"

i only really varied in anki usage and mining, if anything i listened to more nip content, and read more, too, its just the natural frequency at which words appear is small ebough that i kept noticing words i had seen before, but didn't remember.

mm uses a time loop concept and every loop most everything resets so you have to remember who is at a given place at a given time and the like, you also have to clear every dungeon every cycle (at least the bosses), with practice you can clear everything in one cycle but eh
