Umineko first episode is really non indicative and slow, but I still prefer it over SLICE OF LIFE Higurashi.

I still prefer Higurashi's premise to Umineko's (the whole Rika having the break through fate thing, which is introduced in Kai, of course...)
but the question arcs are defiantly grating...
