Era Games Thread

>What are era games?
Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese developed text porn games. Some of these games have ongoing translation and modding projects. It's not exclusively related to 2hu but it's one of the series with most era games.

>How to play?
Run anchor.exe, japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav folder to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there's guides currently in TW folder(in #Translation) on what to do, since I mostly played TW, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide from threads is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:
K: ERB/口上
TW: ERB\口上・メッセージ関連\個人口上
You can also report bugs or typos when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits for 2hus, the files are located within the resource folder as webps.

I run them just fine (wine-staging, wine-mono, wine-gecko, vcredist packages and MS corefonts should be all you need). My prefix is a bit bigger because of other games so I have DXVK, Faudio and Xact in there as well but these shouldn't matter for Era games. Also, I run them in JP

I feel like the zero lewd level dialogue is most more interesting and cute than the high lewd level ones. My sensibilities are triggered hard by how reserved some of them are and they feel really unique between the characters in a way that fit their personalities. It's actually more of because in TohoK, if you join a faction as an officer (instead of running one yourself), your ruler stops performing all Diplomacy actions themselves. The only thing they will do in the 'Diplomacy' phase is buy soldiers. So if you don't manually do all the Diplomacy stuff, everyone will eventually hate your faction unless you get lucky with the Bandit Supression event and succesfully complete it. You end up having to think of it like as if you joined a kingdom and they immediately made you the supreme Minister of Foreign Affairs that not even the ruler, your boss, has power over.

At least in FGO-K and AL-K, while you can still perform Diplomacy actions yourself, your ruler will also perform them themselves like every other ruler.

It's basically you getting shitfaced with other 2hus. They tend to happen late so if you want to participate I recommend setting a late wake up hour, something like 15:00 or later, and also using Tumeric drinks so you don't get wasted 2 hours in. You can also subtly get 2hus that trust you drunk, lead them away and rape them before they sober up if you want, but that might require both of you to live in the place where the banquet is held.
