Except learning the base, like hira and kata, and barely a few starting kanjis from a not so useful 'learn kanjis with anime illustrations' book, I've noticed last year that I've still somehow been able to read maybe a third of easy stuff like Japanese comments on the chat or even the typical captions you see on some videos.
It's obviously not enough to properly read by myself but it actually helps a lot understanding the context of what's happening even without captions, and what I like about Japanese is how they use as few words as possible, everything is inferred in the context. Or course there's no way I can participate to open-talk streams at my level but it still is very amusing how useful/annoying it gets whenever I watch anime now because I can clearly see when the translation is wrong in most cases. Even more so in video games catchphrases.

I've been too lazy to learn my next batch of kanjis and grammar because I've yet to find a way to do it that isn't brain-numbing, but the point is if you keep watching/reading or listening Japanese on a daily basis while once in a while trying to learn about *wtf is that kanji?* you might eventually reach a point where you feel confident going full learning mode. And whatever you learn, even if one kanji at a time, is still learning. So you might get there... eventually.

In my case I'm pushing it because I really want to learn to write them as well so I'll take twice the time anyway. I've always really liked writing kanjis, I don't know why. They're just enjoyable to write.

I was under the impression Mikeneko was kinda... stuck to Rushia.
Comparing mikeneko of now to mikeneko back then, there's a clear difference how she acts.

Starting to watch the stream now, I was sleeping. One thing though, looking at her wrists she does look a bit anorexic.
