SAMURAI VERSUS TANK!

HEAVEN OR HELL!

>> No.388479

A Katana cuts through everything, you know. Even through space ships. The tank won't stand a chance.

>> No.388486

Actually, I didn't see katana cutting through diamonds. So, diamond tank would stand a chance... But still unlikely, it's katana after all...

>> No.388497

Suppose a diamond katana, though.

Diamond katana vs. steel tank = katana wins
Steel katana vs. diamond tank = tank wins
Diamond katana vs. diamond tank = Stalemate

>> No.388500

>>388468

This is an accurate depiction of Pacific warfare in World War II

>> No.388504

It would be different if one is made of Dragonforce. However if both are made of Dragonforce, then the universe is fucked.

>> No.388505

The samurai would jump into the air, plunge the katana into the cockpit and kill the driver in one stab. The rest of the crew would die instantly of shock because of the prolonged exposure to the katana's murder intent.

>> No.388538

Sorry guys, I don't think Samurai armor could stand up against a Diamond cannon shell.

>> No.388543

>>388538
But can a Diamond Cannon shell stand up to Dragonforce?

or, y'know, they might just get torn up by machine gun fire before they got within 500 meters. regardless of our fantasy about blades cutting through armor.

yeah i know i'm the troll post eh?

Nope. Diamond tanks these days come standard with diamond-cutting lazers.

Bullshit, they deflect the bullets with the dragonforce katanas and haul them right back at the shooters hiding cowardly behind their useless weapon.

>> No.389583

How sharp must a Katana that can cut through a tank be?
Would that be even possible to forge with the materials avaible on earth? (excluding diamond and Dragonforce)

>> No.389588

The tank loses. It can't even defeat a spearman, what do you expect!?

>> No.389604

>>389583
I doubt it could happen...
It would have to be strong enough to push the material the tanks made of apart. Now, if the samurai were wielding light sabers, that would be a completely different story.

>> No.389618

That’s it. I’m sick of all this “Samurai couldn't stand up to modern tanks” bullshit that’s going on in the 4chan community right now. Samurai and their katanas deserve are deadlier than tanks. Much, much deadlier than tanks.

I should know what I’m talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that’s about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid reinforced tank armor-grade steel with my katana.

Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.

Katanas are thrice as deadly as a modern tank and thrice as fast for that matter too. Anything a tank can blow up, a katana can cut through better. I’m pretty sure a katana could easily bisect an M1 Abrams tank with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why the United States never bothered with a ground invasion of the Japanese mainland? That’s right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even with tanks, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, this argument is ridiculous. Of course a Samurai beats a tank, the Samurai has a katana.

What if you reduce the friction between the blade and the tank? Like..a teflon blade or something.
Wouldn't that just 'glide' through the tank IF you manage to cut the metal?
