Why are there so few fanworks about the Yakumos?

I'm not talking about shit with Yukari in it, I mean stuff about all 3 of them together.

I thought they were popular?

Because while SDM, Hakugyokurou, Eientei, Moriya Shrine, Palace of the Earth Spirits, and Hijiririri LOVE Brigade~ are all canon friendly groups within themselves, more or less, "Yakumo Family" is still unconfirmed. As far as you know, it's just slaves owning slaves, or a Master summoning Caster who summons CHEEEEN.

This. Most fan stuff is Yukari with [artist's favorite character] plus some Yukari with Ran, bacause that's kind of how canon is.

Chen barely shows up and doesn't really need the other two to be adorable and shit. And I don't think canon Ran is that attached to her anyway

Sadly so, but I too would love to see some more fanworks with the Yakumo clan. Chen included, because she kinda does her own stupidmoe~ thing, regardless of yukari or ran being around.

It's Yukari's fault. She pretty much steals the spotlight and leaves the other two in the dark.

Canonically, Yukari is an old Youkai who hibernates all winter long and sleeps all day with her only time being awake at night. Meanwhile, Ran is supposed to take care of everything else.

But instead of Ran, you get Yukari assisting Reimu in the newer installments or Yukari herself in the fighting games because of her popularity.
