Oh ho, someone who's interested? Well then, you have two main options for buying: Store bought, or an online purchase. Store bought diapers (such as Depends or Walgreens brand) are relatively cheap, and are limited in their absorbency, while online brands (like Secure X-Plus, Tranquility, and Bambino, to name a few) are top of the line, providing thickness and excellent coverage.
Which one you try really just depends on your current situation and preferences. Store bought aren't exactly bad, but the online brands will always trump them.

I'm partial to Tranquility myself, since they're a decent amount cheaper than some of the other brands while still being nice and cushy. Also it has an interesting peach-mat lining that cuts down on odor and bacterial growth, which is a plus. The two from Tranquility I've used before are their ATN (All Through the Night) and Slimline diapers, both of which hold wonderfully, with the ATN's just managing to win in thickness and absorbency.

Pretty much the only place of possibly find the good diapers are at medical supply stores, although I have heard of people being able to order and pick up certain good brands in pharmacies (Walgreens and Wal-mart come to mind). Other than that, you're stuck with store brands'; even worse, Depend and store brand briefs are being taken off the selves in favor of pull-ups.

So, you should try to figure out a way to order online or find a supply store.

Yuyun seems like they're cheap, but they're actually quite good and a nice place to start if you're interested in trying cloth.

Yuyun isn't completely plastic pants, but you can cover a disposable diaper with a pair of plastic pants or a cloth diaper. Although, the plastic pants won't do as much and the cloth diaper would be overkill.

If it's your first, I suggest trying disposable diapers; any of the brands listed are fine and Depend (plastic-backed) are still pretty decent if there's no way you can get the better brands.

If you don't like white, there's plenty of other disposable diaper that come in different colors like purple (Molicare Super/Plus and Dry24/7), green (Tena Super) and yellow (Pervail PM). It you want a cover, you're really better off with plastic pants than an entire cloth diaper over it.
