Anons, I need your help. I would be really glad if someone gave me some of their time to advice me.
I live in a poor European country and will most likely permanently leave after I finish my Bachelor's in CS (i'm a freshman btw).
Because I only know 2 languages I don't have many options however I really like japan and the japanese language.
You get where I'm going with this, is it worth investing some of my time to learn some japanese so I can (possibly) have the option of going to live in japan?
I currently know hiragana/katanaka, (only the meanings of) ~300 kanji, and some grammar but I can barely understand the most basic sententances.
Should I start studying for like 30 minutes a day or every other day if I'm not even sure I'm going to do anything with that?

If you just want to live and work in Japan, then all you have to do is find a western company dealing with CS in Japan. You don't need to learn the language at all.

What about socializing etc.? Family? Traditions? I don't want to wake up, work, and then sleep.

i keep anki from becoming an enemy by

knowing when to stop adding words for the day (but still keep reading and looking stuff up)
knowing when to add a word in the first place (first time you see it is usually a bad choice)
knowing you’re free to delete or suspend cards whenever you want
remembering that input is the only way to acquire and anki is meant to be a mere stepping stone to help reach that point, it’s not the acquisition itself
Having the right settings, and tools, and card type also helps.

I think you are both right.
In the most literal sense you are always learning in you are acquiring new neurological patterns in your brain based on stimuli, and reinforcing existing patterns through repeated use.
But there is a point where someone is not reinforcing new patterns in a way which is seen as anything but the baseline - picking up memories overtime and not acquiring any new habits from them.
Anything below that baseline is basically unlearning - losing significant memories and abilities from either casual lack of use, or unavoidable decay through dementia.
