There was a hilarious big post a long time ago on pooshlmer from someone who wanted to like Touhou but couldn't because everyone in Gensokyo was just so mean and cruel and said all these awful things and bullied each other without any consideration of how it made anyone feel, and all the hurt feelings and thoughtlessness made him too sad to enjoy the series. I'm still mad at myself for not saving it.
