Era Tohos are pretty popular, but are there more combat orientated ones that are a bit more 'complete'? Games that are pretty much like 'Pokemon except era style'. Or something more the lines of MeiQGaiden, Megaten and GvT? I feel like games where I manage people and their (mis)adventures, as opposed to the main draw of the game inevitably being banging your slaves 99% of the time. Bonus if (You) count as one of the characters instead of some invulnerable non-combatant that has the power to turn things into slaves.

What I mean by 'complete' is that they aren't games that were pretty much abandoned halfway, or at least has enough features put in before being put on near indefinite hiatis to make it pretty playable.

Knowledge: good for helping out 2hus who keep asking questions. In earlier versions you couldn't even find the way out the three fairies basement if the stat was 0. Probably useful for other stuff well. Level that.

Speech: bigger favor gains when talking to 2hus and easier to talk to cold or introverted hus, you probably don't need to focus on leveling that much since it goes up simply by talking. Also makes you a better seller when opening up a shop, which is a fairly new mechanic and I haven't tried that out.

Combat: good for beating up 2hus in danmaku and getting out of sex you don't want (tho you can just timestop out of it). Level that.

Cleaning: higher level of cleaning simply makes you clean dirty places more efficient. At max level you need to clean a section twice to get from most dirtiest to cleanest. Level that unless you like to live in filth.

Cooking: better meals make 2hus happy and can give buffs like that other guy said. Help out with work for Miyoi in the human village or for mystia in the bamboo forest for faster leveling. You need ingredients to actually cook by yourself though. You can get different ingredients by fishing, setting up traps (I think) or just simply buy them in the human village or by mail order.

Music: 2hus like good musicians. Good for favor gain. You can join other music-hus to jam together. The prismriver sisters sometimes perform at the plaza in the human village, maybe you help out if you're good enough and earn some money.

Logging: log trees more efficient. Fairly new mechanic; looks like it is mostly for making money.

Fishing: get more efficient at catching more and rarer fish. Fish is used as a resource in cooking recipes and sometimes as a request by 2hus.

Foraging: get more efficient at finding resources. Resources are needed as ingredients for the mixing skill or you can just sell them for money at some places or hus. Eirin for instance.

Mixing: mix up various things from basic shit so you don't have to buy it like lotion or condoms to more exotic stuff that give buffs, fill up energy and/or stamina to physical changes, like animal ears for hus or futashit, if you're into that gay stuff. Reisen sometimes performs experiments, so move to the bamboo forest for easier leveling.

You make faster leveling gains if you do the skill with a 2hu that has a high level in said skill you want to train. Strong fighter hus for combat skill like Utsuho or Flan; musician hus for music skill like Raiko or Prismrivers...

Playing music is a good way to increase favorability if you play with a group. It's around +40 with 3 participants, +60 with 4. Anyone who dances or sings can also join in, so Mystia, Kokoro, Mai & Satono, etc. If you bit the dust and sacrificed Speech, this can make up for it. If you put out some food in Human Village, Raiko, Benben and Yatsuhashi or at least 2 will gather so you can put the moves on a hu with them.

Quite a number of characters have text. Off the top of my head, Reimu, Rumia, Flandre, two of the Three Fairies (Star and Luna?), Seiji, Byakouren, Kagerou, Orin, Koishi and Tewi has translated text as well. Though the level of text translated varies greatly between them, with Rumia having hardly any text translated if I remember right. Otherwise in terms of text quantity, of the ones I listed I'm pretty sure the Three Fairies I mentioned having text only has a bare minimum, with one of them only really having combat text.

Speaking of Rumia, does anyone know how to trigger the 'Rumia goes EX!' event? I kind of wish the character events had an entry to them that gives hints on how to make them happen.

I've had that happen only twice in exactly one game. Just have consent and 1500 Favor. Turn your daily events settings to 10x likelyhood and max 10 if you want to boost your chances. Other than that its just luck. I've gotten Youmu's event every game and on my current one I have consent and everything and it still hasn't happened. Just luck.

From my experience, if you're captured by a normal faction they tend to just do normal stuff if they bring others with them (mostly among themselves, especially with generics), rarely touching you in the process like as if they're doing some eleborate neglect play by having an orgy in front of you. There's even been a few occasions where they do absolutely nothing to you except have an orgy in front of you. Maybe they do the more crazy stuff off the bat if you make everyone sluts or carry over enough times while saving the relevant experiences that everyone is an expert in all things sex.

That said, if you're looking for 'reverse torture' and got caught after combat, make sure your character is actually worth capturing? Unless the first time this happened to me I just got really unlucky, because although my stats were decent (enough to be considered 7*), my first run in TohoK ended within 20 days when upon refusing to join, I was immediately executed. Executions are rare enough already even with generic recruitment activated that I've only ever seen it happen one other time to a generic; everyone else usually gets imprisoned then later released. I always set it on because I always play the Gathering of Heroes scenario and often they need them to survive the first special faction that pops up nearby even at strength 1.

Special Factions though, the gloves are off. They'll do all the SM/Humiliation stuff on everyone involved, including on the people doing the torturing themselves. Unless that time the bandits managed to actually capture me (unavoidable, the 'bandit revolt' event occured in my faction and I was captured as part of it) they happened to just like peeing a lot and having enemas on themselves? It was just weird. Note that imprisonment torture is different to the special faction rape events, so if you get captured by a Special Faction you're almost always going to get double-raped every turn you don't manage to escape. Unless you choose not to escape because of that?

It'd be nice if the normal factions (not belonging to you) also tortured their prisoners, though I can't see how this would work properly without the forced special faction style events. Feels strange that they treat everyone else nicely until they get recruited/released/escape, but only torture you until you give in/get released/escape successfully. I was curious, how many other people here play Era games consensual route only?
I got really excited when I learned that in eraMegaten characters have special dialogue for when you get them to fall in love with you naturally, rather than 調教-Rape-Basement-Stockholm-Syndrome-ing them into being in love with you.
I do understand that this essentially defeats the purpose of playing a slave training game.

Subjective. Most of what you'll encounter in K is translated, TW has its entire interface translated and all the girls in SDM. If you know Japanese then that isn't a barrier

K has an excellent index within the game. TW has a guide, although it is slow you can change the speed but if you do you've lost but very helpful. Best way to learn is to play. It's not too hard to pick up on any of them. Even something like ReverseTentaclePalace can be easily understood by going a few rounds through it.

One of the Trust fall characters I have is Nanami, which required 80k Loyalty to become Sworn Friend due to clashing alignments (Nanami is D/N while I am L/N). I just thought there was another non-training Fallen state you could do. If the only non-training Fallen state is still via tons of Loyalty gain, I still have no choice to train the non-compliant combat-capable characters because they'll otherwise refuse to do anything (compared to non-combatants).

I am literally still on the first day of the game, so take this with an entire salt mine, but according to the Japanese wiki there's an trait in the game called [謎の魅力] and if you have get it, even characters who are the same sex with you can fall into love with you without Training.

I was curious about this as well, so I did some research on the English and Japanese wikis.
This is the information I've found:
1. Some characters in the game have a specific trait called [非戦闘員] in Japanese and [Non-Combatant] in English. Characters like Nanako and Maiko who are incapable of fighting have this attribute.
2. Characters with that attribute can't be added to your party in the set-up screen, so they can't be taken to dungeons or participate in any other kind of battle.
3. If you get the character into a Fall State, you can then use command [600] in Training.
4. If you do that command enough, eventually they will lose the non-combatant trait, although I don't know specifically what triggers that.
5. You will also be able to do additional commands in training to give them a class of your choice. I wasn't able to find the codes for any of the commands but I assume they would be in the [712] Special Training menu.
6. Unlocking some classes apparently requires the use of command [141], and using that command requires owning a collar.
7. Not all characters can can become all classes. For instance if a character doesn't have the potential to be a Persona User they won't be able to gain that class, no matter what.

So in short, [600] Basic Training is a command only useful for and usable on specific characters that are in a fall state. You haven't missed out on anything.
