The game is 6 dollars, which is (strangely) less money than the game soundtrack, so it kinda miffs me a little bit when the first thing I see after an anon sharing the OST is begging for the game instead. I can't explain why, but I just find it weird. Perhaps it's like, candy is being handed out at Halloween, but someone says "can I have celery instead"?

I dunno, I'm probably rambling like a retard here. I've always been bad with words. A share for the game will come, when it comes. I don't think someone who got the OST somewhere or bought the OST off Steam would also happen to be a game DRM cracker, that seems a weird expectation to have.

If something is wonky or has a particular non-neutral tone in the original script, toning down the color in the translation is both "safe" but also changes the feel of the work, probably watering it down some.
I'm pretty sure a lot of longtime of commercial and fan translations are so used to that being the norm that a more colorful translation is just seen as less correct.

From my experience so far, opening in Youkai Mountain is fine since it's only Narumi who causes this issue. Even then, it sucks but you can work around her frozen ass to an extent. But sometimes (not always) other characters will also freeze after Narumi starts it. Stupid jizo.

Maybe I'm a minority in thinking this, but I feel a little bit bad the last thing /jp/ did of note was bully some fangame devs into changing a bunch of dialogue, even if it was stupid. It feels completely out of character for what this place is usually like and I'm pretty sure it was a non-issue outside of here. Fixing the stuff that actually breaks with the English version and things like >>38529690 should have been the more pressing issue. The devs seem kind enough and trying to fix things but I can't help but wonder what kind of impression this makes for Western audiences.

Maybe I'm making something out of nothing, but it just seems a bit depressing.
