What's with Asian people and bubble tea?

>> No.38342343

Its popular among zoomers basically everywhere they can source the tapioca, at least in the same ballpark of milk tea.

>> No.38342726

I like tea, I like putting milk in tea. Sometimes I get the urge to buy them while out on a walk or with friends, and there's a shitton of those shops

>> No.38342757

>>38342124
Well zoomer teens are always buying that bubble tea mostly the large one. But it's kinda disappointing that they threw it with a half of bubble which is kinda a waste of money. Maybe they just want to feel rich but just wasting money and food instead.

In south America, there's this ice cream made out of fruit, called "açaí" wich, is ok. nothing phenomenal, but for some reason, female zoomers made part of their personalities to declare "I looove açaí!! " Wich is bizarre. I assume the love for bubble tea must also be purely cultural, even though, asians are not known for liking each other or their cultures.

Over sweeten Taiwanese milk tea with starch balls in it.
Being sweet and chewy makes it a prefect drink/dessert, and it wont expire as quickly like milkshake. It can also mixed with everything, which Japanese happen to like this kind of quirky sweet drinks.
Though they are usually too thick and sweet as a proper tea. And I hate that trope that girl spilling them when trying to hold them on their chest, as many bubble tea are sealed with plastic film.
Stocking milk tea is still the king. It's a shame I never saw any anime girl trying to filter tea with them, now I have to ask you to get out.

Is that what they call tapioca?
Why the flying fuck they call it that way?
It has nothing to do with our south american Tapioca food, the original tapioca.

>> No.38357719

It is tapioca. The same from south America.
Tapioca is not the dish, tapioca is the extract of manioc (amido de mandioca) these balls are made out of it and colored after.

Tea with milk sounds disgusting

It's fine if you look at it as having milk as main ingredient and tea just for flavor even though proportionally it's more tea than milk.

You're new to the internet then. A few years ago there was a meme with girls sitting the cup on their chest. Smaller and flat ones would be shown dropping it. Pic sort of related, though it's a different way of a flatty doing it.
