Outside 4chan which (mostly jokingly) feeds off of incest fetishes why do people get so squeemish about it in fiction? I can't hardly find it in anime and manga which is why I've turned to VNs which is hard for me to read. I just find it terribly romantic to see two people who love each other despite all social and biological opposition. It's not like I'm fucking my relatives, it's not like I'm asking you to fuck yours. In real life it's a terrible idea but in fiction it's awesome because I can enjoy something taboo without any actual taboo.

I just watched Fall of the House of Usher for a paper I'm writing and I am disappoint.

A lot of VNs have a sister route. I don't know about anime, but I read quite a few doujin manga like that too, so it's plentiful in that genre.
Maybe you're just looking at the wrong place. I don't think there's a lack of incest fiction out there.

Lots of VNs have blood related imouto routes. Anime I think, has a more 'normal' crowd, so they will either not have an imouto route, or if one existed (in say a VN to anime), they may make the characters unrelated.
