Hey /jp/, I hear they don't teach what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japanese schools. Is that true? What's their reason not to?

They did a survey in Hiroshima and asked people what happened in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. They found that no one born after the year 1980 (or some year can't remember exactly) had any idea.

They are two entirely different things. We raped and pillaged Vietnam, but in this case Hiroshima and Nagasaki were raped.

Everyone who knows anything about nuclear energy certainly knows about them, I mean I knew about them when I was a kid, what is there more powerful then a nuke explosion? If you know gundams are powerd by nuclear power you should be aware that if one explodes a lot of people die, just like that time in Hiroshima.

This is how I know what happened. I could be wrong:
• Japanese invaded Philippines. Little did they know the U.S. came before them.
• War started between the alliance of U.S and Philippines vs Japan.
• Japan bombed U.S' air base to paralyze their air force which was a "below-the-belt" blow.
• Payback time. U.S did the same thing, much more bigger. They bombed Hiroshima.

What fucked up school did you go to? The school system is designed to teach nationalism. In my school all the fucking teacher talked about Americans dieing because of guerrilla warfare, the military was hard to distinguish from soldiers so that's why the troops ended up killing civilians, and how it's the only war America has ever lost.

>> No.3832528

>>3832518
Well the school was conventional. But the teacher was not. He was an amazing man that lived to make us better people. He did not care about what the school said, as much as what he knew was the right thing to do. He taught us all about that kind of thing. The class was one he made himself called Communications. We went over pretty much every controversy thoughout popular culture starting from a certain date. This included all of the potential government coverups, and just cool stuff in general like that.

I'd imagine he's been fired by now. The first time I ever heard about any of this stuff was in my uni's Anthropology class. I still need to look up at how the American bases in Saudi Arabia are responsible for 9/11. We went over it briefly but not enough. The way the media portrays it, one day Arabs just got into planes and decided to fly into the towers. Unsurprisingly, most Americans accept this 100%.

I think they teach it. I was in Japan for a summer a couple years ago, and one day I was walking down the street, and I saw this little kid, maybe 12 years old, and he waved at me. So I waved back. And then he said "america" and then with his hand he motioned a mushroom-shaped-effect, and then said "booom". It was pretty sad.

>> No.3832552

>>3832542
No he's still there. Not exactly sure how he pulled that one off myself, but he's still kicking. A couple of the coolest things he went over with us included the Japanese concentration camps we had here during the war, and what happened inside of them; as well as things like the JFK assanation, and he side-tracked us off american pop culture to learn about Nan King, because he said it was important.

Dude, that's nothing compared to reality.

>This powerful bite can have its practical uses. Zoo vet David Taylor, one of the best sources for zoological anecdotes (think tapir-eating hippos and a zebra with a tooth embedded in one of its testicles), tells the story in one of his books of how an alligator snapper in Indiana was used by its Native American owner to retrieve lost human corpses. The turtle (which was kept on a long leash) was taken to the lake where the person was missing, and released. Eventually its owner would know from the pull on the leash that the turtle was tugging around on a carcass, somewhere on the bottom. It would then be pulled slowly to the surface, and it would successfully bring the corpse with it.

http://www.infowars.com/articles/iraq/secret_air_base_for_iraq_started_pre_911.htm
Something like this?

Although it doesn't argue anything about the cause for 9/11, it argues that conflict in Iraq was anticipated and, possibly, hoped for by the Bush administration. To be carried out even. Also, the article makes no distinction between "built in honor of" and "declared to be in honor of," both of which end up being interchangeably used this day and age. A new college building is named after the person gave the most significant financial contribution to it, but is still used for academia and is not prepared in advance to promote he said contributor's "charity."

Doesn't change my opinion on anything, really, but interesting trivia.

Are you kidding me? The role of the USA in the global corporate game is to be the enforcer entitiy and to implant these thoughts they first used Nationalism and heroism propaganda. Once the seeds were planted and military interventionism became accepted by the amerikkan public they went forth with the next uprades of social engineering which today come mostly from the corporate left (globalization, liberalism, global warming ...)
The reason for that is the planned destruction the USA from inside (that's the reason for the Neocons as the anti-thesis to the coming paradigm shift from the opposite direction). All they need for the next paradigm shift is the military-industrial complex and the police state grid. You better start realizing that the US won't last another 50 years, it will be shifted into some kind of North American Union and be overrun by Mexicans and illegals. Either you start working for the authorities or you die in a 3rd world like hell pit.

College even more so.
