Highly Responsive to Prayers is one of the most depressing games I've ever played.

Reimu is like a little kid, and she has no friends helping her out. Marisa isn't around to pester her, and none of the bosses bother to make conversation.

The music is melancholy and cacaphonous. The backgrounds are just random images that don't really make any sense. One of the stage backgrounds is a huge golden cross. In Heaven? But what kind of Heaven is it if everything's trying to kill you? And I hate the music in that part. So frantic.

Sariel is fucking hard, and Konngara doesn't really seem to be taking the fight seriously. And after you've won... What was the point? What was Reimu fighting for?
