Surely you've seen Japanese women make this movement, where they sway their torso to the side and tilt their head in a synchronic manner. My grandmother often makes similar movements, they're more similar to the Japanese women's movements in her generation than my mother's or my own generation but there is always still a very clear difference. It's cute when the movement has a smile or a smug smirk accompanied, but this is clearly not the reason for its existence because they also do it in circumstances when surely they want to not be cute. This is what separates the Japanese women's movement very clearly from other women's movements, they do it all the time and it is not intentional because they don't know what you're talking about if you're talking with them and then they do it, and you ask about it in that context, they still don't know.
