A cap of Generic Chick #2940 getting her skirt flipped doesn't warrant a referred VN. You're going have to give me something more than that.

Nah, don't bother bro. I thought it would be good after reading the threads, but there's a reason it never got an anime.

Yes, only the great VNs get an anime, and those without anime adaptations are all shit.

>> No.3809225

Personally I didn't like it but a lot of people here seem to like it a lot.

The flow of the game is really weird and the main character is actually pretty annoying. Also Miki is the only girl who stood out in the whole cast. But yeah you're probably going to end up playing it anyway.

I don't ever recall saying only great VNs get adaptations. I just said great ones have one. That doesn't exclude anything that happens to be shit, but popular from having one. Which means, neither was Cross Channel good enough to have one, it wasn't popular enough either.

>> No.3809421

>>3809382
Ever17, Muv Luv, and YUNO never got an anime either, all which are "better" than Cross Channel. No matter which way you try to apply that logic, it just doesn't work.

>Cross Channel good enough to have one, it wasn't popular enough either.
While the word 'good' depends on the individual, it's a fact that Cross Channel is one of the favorite eroges of the japanese audience, and is the second most voted game on EGS.
>I just said great ones have one
Are you connoting that these eroges are not great then?
Muv Luv Alternative, YU-NO (butchered H-OVAs doesn't count), Steins;Gate, Ever 17, Symphonic Rain, Baldr Sky, EVE Burst Error, Parfait -second brew~, Mindead Blood, Saya no Uta, Sharin no Kuni, Muramasa, Little Busters, Himawari, Haruka ni Aogi Uruwashi no, Atled, Ayakashibito, G-Senjou no Mao, Forest, Tomoyo After, Majikoi, Suigetsu, Narcissu, Killer Queen, Soshite Ashita no Sekai yori, Daiakuji (H-OVA doesn't count), Katahane, Sumaga, Kira Kira, Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa nai, Kana - Imotou, Saihate no Ima, Extravaganza, Sekai de Ichiban Dame na Koi, Desire, Mugen Kairou, Suzukuri Dragon, Biniku no Kaori, Fossette ~Cafe au Le Ciel Bleu~, Princess Witches, Gunjou no Sora wo Koete, Masaru: Ashita no Yukinojo, ore wa Maichiru Sakura no Youni, etc (lost motivation to go into deeper the list).

Do you even know that some of these can't even be adapted into an anime due to relying on the VN interface (G-Senjou, Ever 17 etc). Do you know that some eroges have to wait years until they get an adaptation?
Sorry but, you are totally wrong if you measure a quality of an eroge whether it has an anime or not. That's even worse than NNL's version of deciding what are enjoyable eroges.

>> No.3809696

>>3809681
Not to mention that some games are just too dark for an anime (Extravaganza for example).

>Tomoyo After
Tomoyo After isn't great though.

>> No.3809718

I thought it was good. It became slightly repetitive at times, and while the Main Character is interesting and makes the dialogue fun at first, he takes it too far most of the time and it becomes annoying. The story is alright, and the ending is pretty solid. You're going to play it anyway, so you might as well just start now.

>The official website for Muv-Luv, a series of adventure games for the PC by âge, posted an announcement on Monday stating plans for an adaption to be animated for release in 2010. The animation will take place in two parts, Extra and Unlimited, following the format of the original game released in 2003. The >Extra storyline revolves around 3rd year student Shirogane Takeru and his relationships with his eccentric classmates, while the Unlimited storyline takes place in an alternate universe from Extra, in which aliens have invaded the planet and mankind struggles to fight back.
>Tetsuya Watanabe (Evangelion, Rumbling Hearts, Code Geass) will direct off scripts that Katsuhiko Takayama (ef - a tale of melodies., Ga-Rei -Zero-, Rumbling Hearts) will oversee. The animation studio >Studio Fantasia will produce the project.

Oh come on what a shitty list, some of those aren't even that old, and some will most likely get an adaptation eventually. You have to give a reasonable amount of time for one to come out.

Tell it to the japanese if you don't like that list. I merely grabbed the titles in the top of the egs rankings (up to the point where I got bored).
They are the deciding factor what gets adapted, not us gaijins.
