To be honest I never used her. It was my first playthrough and I generally had no idea how quite a few units worked since I never checked any guides or asked for help but Natori using Miko Storm, Uzura using Accurate Shots and Kenshin's aura were basically all I really needed. Even now on my god knows what number playthrough I still use this sort of setup since I prefer it over luck based units (Assassinate, Whirlwind shot, Yuzuhara's attack) that I don't really like since save scumming gets old pretty fast.

I always used ninjas with assassinate 2 for that. Then, in later games, I simply buffed my ninjas attack and troops so that they could kill anyone with less than 700 troops in one attack. Sonic Shuriken + 6 action flags = all diviners dead, as well as musketeers and mikos, even if there's a footsoldier guarding them.

I always just used Omachi for that. Omachi + max speed + speed luck = OH GOD GENOCIDE.

She usually got Rance's Love, and with her speed and defense, she was strong enough to generally kill everything with her first attack, often before they got a chance to act.

Asakura gives a lot of national power, which is useful early on for a nation that's fairly easy to defeat (especially if you wait until after the earthquake). You also get Asakura Yoshikage, a decent unit who will give you even more national power when you character clear him, and then after talking to him will give affection points to random allies.

I initially got it during my second playthrough which was clearing the Ran route. When you're given the choice to send her back to her sisters (which you need to do anyway or else it's game over) you take her to a checkpoint and tell her to go back. Then while Rance is walking away she slowly steps forward then stops and looks around a few times before walking on. I kind of felt sorry for her in a way but I doubt Rance cared. ;_;

Rance as he starts out as isn't really very good. He does get all sorts of free or cheap upgrades that make him a lot better, but it's hardly unusual at all to shelve him for everything but scripted battles and dungeons on second games when you can start out with much stronger warrior units that don't need any upgrading at all.

Isoroku works best when you put her points into speed and give her whirlwind shot. Sweeping Fire is also good if you raise her attack, since she can then attack enemies that are protected by two or three footmen.

Unless you plan it out and you are a bit lucky with the books you get, raising his stats will take quite some time, and you will have more units to use your resources at.
But if you get 2 Def books, an attack book and combine it with Satisfaction bonuses and Natori, you can make him a beast early.
For dungeon runs and certain speedruns, I give Rance only levels just to be sure.

Rance is a great unit, i've only had him die like once on my first playthrough and only because they ganged up on him.

She has three moves:
Guard Shikigami
Lightning (1actionpoint, damages all units)
Big Lightning (1actionpoint, damages all units, preparation needed)

Use Big Lightning early in the battle and it will kill anything with less than 1000 troops. Use Lightning to mop up. She also has pretty good speed so, unlike, say, musketeers or cannon-wielders, she can attack again almost immediately after using her Big lightning, rather than going to the end of the queue.

Isoroku is the only great Acher though, for combining Sweeping fire with Whirlwind shot.

Sweeping Fire hits two enemies. If you put a little effort into Isoroku, she's awesome. On the other hand, I found it only worth the effort in her own route. On most others it's not worth it to even recruit her.

Then again, on First Games she along with Ikkyu are excellent units to have early on. If you get Yuzuhara from Tanegashima and Senhime (+random youkai) from Tokugawa, you're going to be off to a good start.

None, they're all garbage. Worst written sex scenes I have ever seen.

I was very disappointed in Kill the Monkey.

I expected more Nobunaga scenes since he was still alive, but instead I got a jumble of other route bullshit worked into it.

Kill the Monkey isn't really a route. I don't think you even get points for beating it.
It just lets you do chara clears and such without having to worry about the story getting in the way.

Mark me as another who played blatantly wrong on the first run. People who say SR is easy are bullshitting themselves, SR is only easy if you follow a pre-made walkthrough step by step.

One of the main ways I crippled myself in the first game was that I always forced a surrender instead of conquering the province properly, simply because that was several times easier and I thought they did the same thing.

The arguement though was about some troll claiming that you actually needed FAQ's and walkthroughs to grasp the system. which is bollocks.
