I'm mostly referring to stuff like using "decked" when the next couple sentences clearly imply it was a regular to light punch. It was almost like they were looking up slang adjectives for normal words, and they had no idea when to use them in normal conversations. A lot of their staff at the time was made up of ESL Europeans, and it was really noticeable in terms of their use of American idioms and slang.

Kichikuou Rance, Rance VI, Sengoku Rance, Rance Quest Magnum, and Rance X have somewhere between decent to great gameplay at least in my opinion. Rance IX is pretty meh in the gameplay department though, maybe slightly better than the original Utawarerumono. It's better than Rance 01, but that's not saying too much.

Considering Conjueror committed suicide I have a preconception that most of those people didn’t end up very well.
