You are allowed to go to Gensokyo, but you have to inhabit the body of a touhou. You'll have their abilities, but you'll be responsible for keeping up the act. Any of that touhous friends who notice something very wrong will act accordingly. Also know that whatever touhou you pick will be in your body back here, but why do you care you're not coming back and they're stuck as a human.

Nemuno is probably the best pick, she's a lone mountain hag so I don't have anyone to put an act for, she also happens to be strong enough to have her own territory in Youkai Mountain which no tengu or kappa dare enter. Agreed. From their perspective going from Land of Fantasy to outside world with no prior knowledge is terrible enough. Body/identity swap with a /jp/sie turns it into a true nightmare.

So far, not that many come to mind. I'm thinking people like Wriggle or Rumia or Urumi are the safest bets. The most prominent character I'd dare to go for is Cirno.
None of these are anywhere near my first choices for which 2hu I want to be, but you need to be pragmatic about it.

Satori would probably work reasonably well for me. She's a shut-in without much responsibilities. Orin, Okuu, and Koishi are never going to figure anything out. I am kind of terrified of Yuugi noticing that something's up but hopefully I can just play it casual.
Also Satori is kind of a princess, is cute, and has one of the coolest powers ever.

I feel really bad for her taking my body. I imagine she'll go insane once she realizes just how much she relied on reading minds. She'd honestly probably end herself pretty quick, my life doesn't have too much in the way of upsides. My family would probably suffer a lot too seeing "me" lose my mind and kill myself most my family is familiar with Touhou and would probably recognize that me and Satori switched places and that would likely make them go insane, searching for a way into Gensokyo themselves
I'd still take the deal in a heartbeat though, gotta look out for numero uno.

Does every /jp/sie end up in the same Gensokyo universe? What if a Tewi and Reisen /jp/sie bump into each other? Would they eventually realise that other /jp/sies are around as well? Or would they both try to keep up the act to not arouse suspicion and risk being caught?

fair point, if anyone should've known this it should have been me, considering how I took a course in psychology last semester. Although I still believe the 1200+ years Yukari has been alive would have allowed her to be smarter and wiser than the average joe.
