I don't know what sorcery they used, but Roberu's 3D model for OnoYuu's live looks completely different from his usual one. If anything, it looks exactly like the beautiful model his modeler previewed on Twitter. Meanwhile, every time Cover uses it it looks so fucking flat and lanky. Just compare >>37877407 and >>37877454, the color of his hair, his face, and even the shape of his face was leagues better during OnoYuu's live. I had hopes that Cover would just use those settings onward after that live, but apparently I was expecting too much.

I think OnoYuu team used some sort of a softer filter or render for the whole live. It works for Roberu as his model became less harsh around the edge, but for Rikka, you can see that he lost a lot of details on his face and hair.

I'm kinda worried about the fact that they didn't tell the existing members that new members will be joining, considering the fact that Shien and Rikka did say some time ago that they find that they are satisfied with the current size of Holostars and that its more important to focus on the current members than adding new ones. Granted, they might have changed their minds after all these times, and perhaps one might even think that this shouldn't be something that the current members have any say in it. Yeah, I myself was pretty mixe over the news when I saw it was a new gen (initially thought it was new outfits), on one hand, I was a little excited at the prospect of a new Stars gen but on the other, I wasn't exactly happy that they chose to announce it at the end of the live, because I knew that it was going to take the spotlight away from the current members just when they were gonna be able to fully celebrate their first live and enjoy the attention and hype that would bring them, which is an infuriating thought.
