it's actually kind of an interesting foil. kohaku knows it's inorganic/illegitimate, and over the course of the game learns it's sincere too, and reconciles the two. shirou knows it's sincere, and over the course of the game learns it's inorganic/illegitimate too, and reconciles the two.
