Once you'll have read enough ronery threads, you'll come to a realisation: /jp/ doesn't really want love. What /jp/ wants is to believe they want love. For /jp/, love is the unlockable secret boss that you'll never be high level enough to fight. It's what keeps life's completion at 99.99%, giving you the sense of 'there's something really amazing I have yet to experience'.

It also increases VN enjoyment; once I had completely stopped caring about love, I found myself unable to enjoy the bittersweet romantic endings the way I did before. It's just not the same when you don't experience that feeling of half fulfillment-half emptiness of enjoying a true love end while knowing you will never get the same in reality.

But, besides being an instrument to bring the spice of drama and emotional tension in an otherwise bland life, /jp/ wouldn't touch love with a 10 foot pole. It would just ruin your ability to take it easy and enjoy your hobbies with all the DRAMA and SERIOUS BUSINESS it entails. So you've probably spent all your life unconsciously avoiding love like the plague, all the while pretending it's the thing you want the most.
