1H Per Day = NGMI
3H Per Day = Barely GMI (will take longer than normal)
5H Per Day = GMI in 3 years
8H Per Day = GMI in 2 years
24/7 = GMI in 1.5 years

i feel like if i can't at least get to 3-5 hours consistently then it's over for me. key word consistently. having a good week here and there is something anyone can do. but putting in the time over a longer time span is what leads to progress it seems.

Should I play the Yakuza games in Japanese once I get my CPU replaced? So, it's been nearly ten years since I first developed an interest in learning Japanese, and I have always dropped it quickly, which I know now to my diagnosis earlier this year is the result of ADHD, but after realizing how long it's been I figured it was time to commit, now or never. I have a 22 day streak on duolingo which is the longest I've ever gone studying it, so I've been pretty proud of myself, but I came to this sub here because I was interested in discussion from people studying it online... only to find that at least in the resources guide, they don't recommend duolingo. I have already heard that it's not the best before, so I don't want my primary learning source to be duolingo, but my problem is that duolingo actually holds me accountable, constantly reminding me to study, which is a massive help for me because with my ADHD it's very easy to drop something and forget. The way duolingo is designed keeps me motivated.

My question is simply: are there any learning resources similar to duolingo with better accuracy, or good resources to supplement my learning with duolingo that are easier to comprehend and focus on?

Apologies again if I sound like a noob or if this kind of question isn't allowed here, I read the rules but I am not sure if I missed anything. To be clear, I am not looking for learning "hacks" or to learn Japanese the "easy way" I understand it's a very extensive language that takes a lot of time and studying to understand. I am just asking because I know there is the resource guide, but I'd just like to hear from personal experience what resources help best keep innattentive people on track.
