She's a strange character, because she had so much emphasis on her but wasn't brought into the windows era. There's a reason why nobody is saying Shinki or Yumemi will come back, they weren't playable. Mima was in EVERY PC-98 title including HRtP so of course fans are going to assume she's coming back. Yuuka and Alice did.

Crazy fan theory: Mima reincarnated as or is possessing Sanae.

The two characters have similar designs and are the only two to have directly attacked the Hakurei Shrine directly. Also the first thing Sanae does is insert herself as third playable character which was Mima's spot in PC-98.

It also ties into the fan theory that Mima is the Hakurei god and is getting pissed because Reimu is lazy. What better way to kick her miko into action than to become a miko herself and constantly one-up her?

I’ll ask here instead of making a new thread. Anyone know any good PC98 focused doujins? Been playing those games lately and I’m digging them, but naturally there’s very little fan content with those characters.

Asking more for fun character focused stories than random porn. But I’m not picky.
