So, /jp/ I just upgraded to windows 7, only to find my Umineko isn't working, and saying I should download the Japanese language pack.

But for the love of me, I can't find one for 7, so, did /jp/ find a solution for it already?

Pic, semi related. It's Umineko.

You, sir, have terrible taste.

While that might be the case, I did not ask for that.

Is Beato popping one off in Battler's ass there?

I haven't installed Umineko on this computer yet. I'll try it right now after I transfer my folders.

Language packs are optional downloads on Windows Update.

Chance the locale to Japanese.
control panel>clock, labguege, and region>Regions and language>Administrative tab>Language for non-Unicode programs
Have fun never using applocale again.

Beatrice was laughing all the time on that part.

Thanks guys, but, can't find them. The only option downloads I see are for my Wireless Connection and my Sound Card.

I must be missing something here.

I love how Windows 7 is the most user-friendly idiot-proof piece of shit in existence and you still get people like the OP.

Heh, so it's my fault there aren't any optional downloads?

You don't need the language pack just change the locale.
My proof here.

>> No.3722204

Just finished installing it in win 7 pro (64).

I did this >>3722065 and it worked fine. Only thing is that it installed under the 64bit programs folder instead of the x86, but it seems to be working fine.

>> No.3722229

Hm. I just saw I didn't tell you I have the student upgrade version.

Professional, 32 bits. Does that make any difference?

Man, I used xp like forever, I need to get used to this.

Got it working after restarting twice.

Weird, eh.

Thanks, anon!
